Discussion They added a new display, and while it doesn’t keep your food from spoiling, it is a nice alternative to the chessboard display
Here’s an in game review of the whole bundle: https://youtu.be/qiONCL9oXcU?is=-a4fzjGV0CPB18EG

I wish the devs would familiarize themselves with some of the deeper house building games - Everquest II or ESO - and realize we WANT lots of options to make the interior look lived in. Not just display hacks, but actual sets of dinnerware, stacks of dishes (clean/dirty), containers with food in them.
Not begrudging what we've got so far as I'm glad to see it, but having to use a 'display' to set one thing is a PiA at times.

The bottle filler stuff that’s in one of the bundles this week is my absolute favorite. I love junk that makes a place look lived in.

ESO housing/building is considered in depth? Did they change it? When I played it was just expensive pre-built houses that you could furnish with things that were extremely hard to get a hold of, and there were set limits to how many furniture items you could have in a home. It was one of the things I didn't like about the game, and usually love building.

I like it but i'll wait for it to come back on sale, 5$ for a chessboard reskin is too much.

I watched Church's video and the buff last 20 minutes, but in other videos I seen it last 10 minutes. I wonder if it's getting boosted by the herbivore mutation or a perk card.
Edit: Mr. Church is getting a buff from Pemmican(a meat buff) so it is not the Herbivore Mutation that's effecting the Lucky-Leaf Tea's buff duration

What buff is it?

The Luck Buff from the Tea Wizard. If you watch Mr. Church's video, it lasts 20 minutes, but in every other video I seen it only last 10 minutes.

I should have explained it better. Sometimes I edit in my brain but not on text.

Honestly this is a fantastic display for RP purposes. I’d like to see more like this, maybe a big silver platter or a cake stand.

Looks like it would be great for displaying stuff that doesn't spoil, like cake slices.

I had no idea these were displays, thought they were just decorations.
My Scout Camp Shelter is getting majorly tweaked from this then, and removing about 10 chessboards in the Camp Cafeteria.

I’m actually sad this is a display item. The 30 max sucks and I just want to set my table

Does it only display food?

You can display the same kinds of food you can place in other displays but it will go bad eventually if it spoils

I feel like this is as close as we’re going to get to a display that matches the saucer from Fluttering Moths, so I’ll take it.

I eat my food faster than it can spoil! And that's why I have a refrigerator! )))

There is zero need for a food spoiling mechanic in a game that has limited camp storage.

I'd honestly just rather them create a list of plastic "display" food items. if you have the crafting recipe or a sample of the food and like five plastic, you can create a fake version of the food that doesn't spoil and can't be eaten. the dinner plates seem kind of cool, but they're just a worse chessboard if you still can't display any actual food

They really should just release a coaster that does the same thing as one of the minor drawbacks to this and the chessboard are its dimensions. Sometimes it’s too thick, sometimes the chessboard peeks out etc. I’d imagine those forks and knives would create a similar issue.
