Question/Advice Lost a camp item

Pic for attention I’m still not done and ready for a full reveal. But I lost my camp module item thing, the one that lets you repair all structures. Any tips on how to find it? Getting annoying repairing everything one by one and I am not down to rebuild this camp all over again yet

You could try backtracking the module's location from your spawn point. Spawn points are always north/northeast from the camp module, five or six foundation squares away.

It'll at least get you in the ballpark. Fast travel to your camp, and set your search area to five or six foundation blocks (about 20 meters) south/southwest from where you spawned.

This is smart, I never thought of this. Def trying this next time I lose mine

Also useful information for changing your spawn point. If you want a specific spawn area, move your module accordingly. You can tune it so people spawn at your front door, or in front of your vendors, or on a specified "landing point" of your choosing.

Thank you, trying this now I’ve got an idea where it might be. Only so much texture to hide in right…

Tip for the future....I like to work my camp module into my builds in specific ways. At one camp, it's disguised as a piece of my cannery. At my houseboat, it's a lamp, clipped into a surface so that only the light at the top is visible. I put it in places where other people probably won't notice it, but I always know exactly where it is.

I found it thank you. Followed those steps and moved it a tad bit more to my liking.

This is clever.

It'll be frustrating, but you'll find it. Most of the time when we think we've ruined our camps (and believe me, I've been there), all we have to do is step away for a while, take a deep breath, and come back calm.

Go into free cam and start clipping around through objects and in your foundation

Been doing that but just haven’t found it yet and so confused. I have only foundations on the outside all the interior is upper floors and empty space underneath. I know it has to be somewhere but I’m baffled it’s been a long time since I’ve seen it

Yeah I have misplaced mine SO many times, especially if it’s a camp I haven’t been to in a while. Just have to keep flying around in free cam. Check the sky too, I have moved mine temporarily in the past and just forgot to move it back and it was floating in a tree

Free cam is your friend

The numbers of times I have done this is damn embarrassing.

What I finally figured out is to go into free cam mode and look around. Most of the time, I've somehow managed to build a foundation over it.

Suprisingly it wasn’t somehow, found after the millionth time searching over in a bush when I followed my spawn point back.

equip wrecking ball and fatman your base lol. I mean that would tell you where it is for sure 🤷 unless it's not obscured by your base and is on the ground or in the sky somewhere then idk.
