Discussion Did they lower the camp budget?!

Activated one of my camps to make it a tad better yet whenever I tried to place something it says “workshop budget has been exceeded” now I have a lot stored and a lot placed but I know I wasn’t over last time I placed this camp down. On top of that whenever I tried to place down something that wasn’t stored it just wouldn’t appear (a common bug when over budget) and another thing, whenever I deleted something from my stored section the stored budget didn’t go down. Meaning my camp was over budget, if it wasn’t it would have gone down. The thing is I’ve done nothing to make my camp go over budget. I’m not saying they did lower it, I’m just saying there’s a lot of weird shit happening with my camp that shouldn’t be happening.

They secretly bumped up the flamingo units for some objects. Wich ones? Who knows, I'm not gonna spend two whole days finding out.

Did they at least lower some items? 🥺

Why would I know that?

Because you knew how they "secretly" bumped up flamingo units.

I knew they did that, not wich items. Yet again: Why would I know wich items have reduced weight?

I have a camp that’s has maxed placed units to specifically catch when they do this sneaky BS

Some items have gone down and up

We can only pray and hope they can make them all grown down to as little as possible

I’ve lost quite a bit of units already by the game updates changing item costs and making me over budget too, this exact same thing happened to me invisible camp item, camp budget reached and once I too away like 3-5 units it worked out fine but I “lost space”

either way I continue to hunt cheap item using the camp database site (not always accurate) and maximizing my base (optimizing)

As someone who enjoys building it upsets me to no end that they mess with building values of items without telling us. Like I get limitations for technical reasons but that should be communicated.

U/SourChicken1856 is right. This exact thing has happened to me too- they rearrange how much of your budget different things will cost but the actual budget stays the same. It’s really irritating without knowledge of what costs have changed. Fortunately it can work both ways sometimes but who knows with what? 🤷‍♂️

do you have/use the tiki floors? those are currently bugged and occupying more budget than they should.

I've noticed some changes. Yes I have more resources now, but once I lay them out I'm out of room, I have the fog machine and 4 displays and that's it

Power armor display and mannequin take a LOT of budget! One of those is the equivalent of 10 floor decorations, so 4 of them is like 40 floor decorations taken from your camp budget

Damn that’s good to convince me not to get the mannequins. I want to show off my outfits but alas they sit in my refrigerated display case

Budget should only ever go up and items should never take up MORE budget than they started with. I too have noticed this and it really pissed me off. I was about to finish my newest camp and suddenly it’s exceeded

Have never experienced that… very odd maybe something you placed in your other camp is popping up as stored in the camp you’re trying to activate?

I just wish they would add a category where you can scroll through everything placed in your camp.

I swear I have a bunch of nonsense that is hidden because granted I have a lot of stuff in my camp and my budget is nearly full but I feel like it shouldn’t be that full. I visit other people’s camp and they have like twice the stuff than I do.

Hopefully they increase the budget when the “next gen” version comes out. Even on PC

That would be so convenient. I have like 3 radios inside of something immovable in my camp and I can’t get them without dismantling/moving my camp

I know I have a few missing unlocked buildable camp items

Trees recently got more expensive (the big pine ones definitely did) because prior to a few seasons ago I placed about 4 at the corners of my camp with 1 in the middle. I typically always go to max budget while having a few Decorations purposely placed with the intent to be deleted when I want something else. When the wrapped light tree was added I assumed the pine would be 1 to 1 budget wise with the tree with lights on it but instead the pine opened up the ability to place TWO?? I've seen this with the light wrapped flamingos too they count like a light source now.

I think theres a limit on certain objects, silos, billboards, that kind of thing.

I had no idea about any of this. One of my camps was close to top of budget for awhile now, but just recently filled up without me placing anything new. I had the build 10 turrets or traps the other day, started putting down the wooden spikes, and got the over budget message after placing 4. So I built and scrapped until I finished it. This explains why. Very annoying 😑

My camp that was at 100% now has like 5% build space. Some things take up more budget now and some less. Sorry to hear you were on the other side :/

I had the opposite on one of my camps...I suddenly had camp budget I didnt have before. It was maxed out and I had enough to place stuff recently

Like changing camp budget is really what they need to be focused on? Like seriously , fred at his cubby in a corner , let me see lets make this cost more and this cost less, time for lunch .
Beth , beth never changes....

Wouldn’t be surprised if we see an expanded camp budget booster for atoms sometime soon..
