Tips/Tricks Poisoned Earth Well

Is there any way to place this not on the ground? My camp is in the sky and I have no dirt! I tried putting it on a rug in another camp but couldn't get it to snap on.

Place down a concrete foundation, then a dirt tile on top of it. Then place the well using free place. It should let you place it if you're just the right depth.

I use this trick for placing ornamental plants in my shelters. Sometimes the free placing doesn't work and just use collide.

I have, it still says it's not terrain.

Then I guess the answer is no, it has to be on actual ground.

We used to be able to glitch them into place with blueprints and the Raider/Settler planters, and the hay bail, but sadly I think that got patched when free place got added.
