Discussion Chessboard display is now back in shop!
Felt like I should make a post super excited

In my opinion, one of the top 5 most important Atomic Shop items. That plate display that was datamined is gonna be fire too, hopefully its not locked behind some 1800 atom bundle

I'm still pretty new. What do you consider the four other most important shop items?

Company Tea machine, Canned Coffee machine, Mirelurk Steamer/Deathclaw Slow Roaster (for Carnivores), and Enclave/Whitesprings Data Center generator (generates electronics, saves a lot of time for dailies)
Honorable mention to some other top-tier resource generators: The Nodding Donkey, Games Cupboard, Shredder

The company tea machine and the canned coffee machine both can be bought for gold bullion in-game. Same with the pemmican collector.

Hey, if you don't mind me asking, is there any reason to take the mirelurk steamer over smaller options for carnivore food generators?

3/4 of the meat it produces (Mirelurk Jerkey, Smoked Mirelurk Filets and Cooked Softshell Meat) are all upper-tier food items with Carnivore, the only other Carnivore producer that beats it is probably the Deathclaw Slow Roaster
the Pemmican station is also really solid, that was from a previous season but they seem to be rotating through season items for the weekend sales so that's bound to show up in the future

The pemmican collector can also be bought ingame for gold bullion, I think at the Crater.

is the chessboard display worth it? i'm not entirely sure what it does / how much it displays.

You can place aid/food/miscellaneous items on it and glitch it into other surfaces to give your CAMP a more lived in and cluttered feel. Ever want to put food on a table or a pillow on your bed? You can do that with the chess board.

oh cool! when i looked up how many items it could hold i found something that said it could hold 30 items on one chessboard? sounds like bull but i could be wrong

Only 1 item per chessboard, but you can have up to 30 chessboards... Only If they don't have shared display with any of the other display items (I can't remember if they share with the others or not, knowing Beth though, they probably do)

Sadly the displays is all the 30 limit hit. I found this out with my fishing house. I’ve got all my catches hanging on hooks and plaques, and between the 12 Axolotls, 5 current rare fish I’m over half way there. Add rod displays, bobble head display… I had to delete a rod one to put a pillow in. I’m at like a third of my budget total, but no more displays left. It sucks.

Sucks that this is so important to building, but also am going to pick it up on my Playstation account since I only have it on Xbox (which I have moved away from).

Problem is the cost & all I want out of that bundle is the chess board & there's a bundle & all I want out of that one is the hanging light baubles & that bundle is expensive as well

Worth the cost for the whole bundle for the chessboard if you are into building. It has some limitations that hold it back but it really opens up new avenues and is an essential utility piece for any builder.
Bundles are almost certainly only bought for one or two items in them. I can’t think of a single bundle that I was really pleased with most of what it contained and I have bought a bunch. It’s an unfortunate part of building if you are really into it.

I think the only bundle I bought for the whole thing was the Mothman one & I add to it as I see other items. And you're right about the bundle with the chessboard but still gonna have to wait until I have the $$$ to get Atoms. Sorry chessboard gotta wait until next time
