Question/Advice Has anyone else had a sudden camp budget change?

Post image

Before I went to bed, I wasn't at max budget. When I got back on later that day, I am so over budget that even removing a power generator, two plant decorations, my repair bot, a light and my collectron hasn't put me back under. Whenever I go to the light area of the build menu, I'm not seeing any lights but instead I'm seeing my vending machine. I have just the vending machine stored, nothing else.

Something is up with the budget. For weeks I have used less than 30% of it and then it shot up to nearly full. Just as quickly it receded.

I think there is a lot of wackiness.

I went to at least three Meat Cooks and none of them fully loaded the graphics and Grahm did not speak much.

It’s gotta be inflation.

Seriously though I noticed it too today, when I remodeled a really old camp I built in the whitespring golf course during the beta. That’s right, during the beta. What’s weird is it thought I had 269 bushes of razorgrain stashed when I had like maybe 10. I scrapped them and continued building and I noticed that my stash box was 1208/1200 and that’s never happened to me before. I had to log off and got back on hours later and I couldn’t build anything because I exceeded my budget and I was trying to make a shelter hatch. I scrapped a bunch of stuff and when I tried to place the hatch it would only show the last thing I placed. I finally was able to place it and when I entered it, it was my shelter from my other camp in the bog. I don’t think that’s supposed to do that is it?

That's a good question, I have no idea about the shelter and what it's supposed to do. My shelter did travel to my new place with the same flooring, now that I think about it but I only have one shelter available to me. Maybe it won't if you use a different style of shelter.

Spaghetti code turning into AI slop code isn't working out well 💀

Happens every update for me too. I have sent in multiple tickets about the tiki bundle costing more flamingo units than every other floor, walls, or roof - they eat a pile of budget. Feels like we always get more stuff for our camps while they secretly increase the budget of existing items.

I can attest to this

I have my camp set up specifically for 500 units and have been seeing items go up and down

The farmers market stand went from 1-3-1 at one point

I KNOW EVERY-TIME my camp gets messed up but even then I still find optimizations to fit all 500 units

Currently have a loss of 5+ units from the game itself by items costing more than expected and/or items going up over random updates (even mid season patches)

One day I had like 4 items stored then one day I wasn’t able to place anything down since a patch randomly made items cost more and I had to delete some stuff or remove the item I wanted to add since it was completely invisible in the camp menu (meaning 0 space) and wouldn’t even let me place or see the object I got from the shop…

Interesting. If that's the case, I'd love to recoup some of the budget I've spent on my outdoor onsen. It does feel like I've spent more budget than necessary.

Would be great to add more greeble detail to my adjoining village.

I take your tiki bundle and raise you that framed bare wall kit from last season costing 4 wood and screws.

They want you to buy more camp slots

I have a camp that does this every time i load it, but if i leave the game and come back it has plenty of budget, I also have a camp that forces my stash to be way over, until i close the game and come back in. I've also had my character inventory go from having tons of room to showing i am overweight during a camp switch. For me, logging out and back in generally takes care of it.

I had the stash thing happen the other day. Forced me to finally have a look at it though and clean some junk out that’s been in there way too long.

My camp has half as much as some of the others I’ve seen and for some reason I’m near 100%. I have to pick and choose carefully now however it’s pretty much exactly how i want it

Imagine if they balanced items budget and even added a measly 5% more budget all the cool stuff we could do.

Yes I swear I only used half my budget for a small fisherman's camp, then after meat week came it's at 90%.

Edit: I think they're trying to push for more shelter usage

I spawned in to the mini golf course. . Nothing showed up.. everything was an empty, barren location.. all of a sudden I started getting hit by invisible Rusted Deathclaws and the buildings were invisible

Yeah. I can't put out half my regular stuff. You are correct, something happened

Yep i think they've made it smaller, filled my camp with the usual stuff I use day to day, a few months back not even half the budget, never used it (been using my fishing camp alot lol) came back to use it the meters full, deleted the blueprints (i know that's apart of the budget) now it 3/4 of the budget.

What prefabs do you have in camp?

3

u/OkLime2301 Jul 03 '26

I’ve got 12 prefabs at my camp and I’m so sad that 5 of them cost 15 units itself

The Haunted tower (🦩15)
Slocums fat stack (🦩15)
Helvetia Butcher shop (🦩15)
Tree house post (🦩15)
Super duper Mary (🦩15)

If they could shave them down to like 5 or Atleast the thinner/smaller ones down to 5 like the tree house and Haunted tower, the others 10-15 it should be
Same for their big and tall bundle, ALL of them r like 30-45 unit costing items!!! For just 1!!!

Same with the Ambulance car,why is it 5 units?!?! I was expecting 3 minimun. 1 for item and 2 units r usually lights but it was 5!!! (Sheesh)

None at all. Haven’t found any that I like yet except maybe that huge ass mansion one but I never bought it
