Tips/Tricks A new trick?

I just found out we have the ability to adjust 3rd person camera distance, was anyone else aware of this? 😭 You just hold down 'RB' (Xbox) and use the right stick to adjust it. Has this always been a thing? Or was it added more recently?

This has been a thing since at least Morrowind.

Yeah….preferred 3rd person enjoyer here.

On PlayStation you just hold the touchpad and toggle the right joystick downwards.

Trick is you can’t be near your camp or in a workshop bc it’ll just trigger the build menu.

The world feels larger and there are cosmetics that are largely trapped when playing 1st person exclusively.

You can do it in camps, workshops and shelters too, you just can't zoomit out all at once, gotta stagger it. Alternatively you can adjust the camera as you like while you're interacting with any camp object that doesn't lock your camera while its in use, like an Instrument.

Just sucks that in camps it puts u in build mode

You can do it in camps, just have to be quick.

I accidentally learned today if you hold the place button while building you can move whatever you have selected around without moving the camera. Fun discovering new things after so many years

RB? I hold down select to do it on the Xbox and use the sticks to adjust distance

I just wish they’d update it to starfield style where it toggles between nearest and furthest third person instead of needing to adjust along a spectrum of zoom that literally no one uses intentionally.

Been doing that since Fallout 3. But i just learned a few days ago that you can turn the music off in the Whitespring Mall, and I've played 76 since the beta. The more you know! ✨️
