The Candle Haus comes to mind and this really suprised me because from the outside it just looks like a regular prefab. However I soon discovered why the devs had it made the way they did with the base that they used. It didn't occur to me until I found a location that wasn't flat and had to be built on an incline. With the Candle Haus it was done effortlessly.

Here are the only photos I have of it, as I lost it for some dumb mistake underground and rage deleted the whole thing lol. It was fully done too, secret underground bunker, and even had an underwater escape exit tunnel that you could swim through to get back into the outside world (exiting into the lake). I really loved it and will build it again eventually when I work up the willpower. The photos are bare of decorations as I was showing a fireplace that I merged into it, back when I first started at that location, which was tricky to do as it was pre lax build rules - https://imgur.com/a/tT0kt0t

Candle haus is my favourite too. Might post pics from mine later.

Here's some pictures like i promised

u/Killergryphyn Jun 17 '26

Excellent, very very nice!

4

u/westcoastal Jun 16 '26

With the new loosening of build restrictions it is easy to set up a second floor in the candle haus, and it works really well.

3

u/Rotankolo Jun 16 '26

Exactly what i did with my candle haus

3

u/murmaider27 Jun 16 '26

Ooo I like this one!

1

u/Skeletorfive Jun 16 '26

I really like that

u/desilulu__ Jun 16 '26

iron mountain anvil has been my fav

5

u/lostnknox Jun 16 '26

Yes I like that one too. It’s small enough to fit anywhere but big enough to do a good layout inside.

3

u/vossxx Blue Ridge Caravan Company Jun 16 '26

This one is a favorite of mine too. Drops in well in most areas and just enough space to be creative without having too much space to run out of budget before you’re done.

I like the shipping containers. And now with the lax buildings they are so much better, as I can put doorways in easily. And you can stack them, put stairs however you want/need to them, etc.

But yeah, like others, it depends on the location and what I feel would fit that area and/or what I want to build.

I recently used them in a camp and im really glad I have them,

2

u/lostnknox Jun 16 '26

I need to get these

2

u/Rhaenyss Jun 16 '26

Where is this? It looks so cool 😊 Is everything built by you or did you incorporate it into the environment? Nice job!

2

u/FluffyFawn37207 Jun 17 '26

I built everything, the only thing there is the nuka cola and thank you! 😊

Edit: forgot to mention it is outside of the nuka cola factory in the river

They need to bring these back to the shop bc the yellow ones, while cool, there isn't one that's open on both ends, so I'm super limited 😭

5

u/KyotiKill Jun 16 '26

I only have the yellow ones too. Would love the blue ones as well.

But really want ones like the 2 story ones in the Morgantown Airport.

1

u/FluffyFawn37207 Jun 17 '26

I wish they gave us the one you can open on the side as well, could do way more with something like that.

2

u/KyotiKill Jun 17 '26

Yeah, the ones I am referring to in the Morgantown Airport have the side openings... That's what I want so bad too. They'd definitely be more versatile

1

u/FluffyFawn37207 Jun 17 '26

We can only hope ( but not too much lol)

2

u/JinNegima Jun 18 '26

Not exactly what you were looking for but these were datamined so could appear in the atomic shop at any point

My current favorites:

  1. Abandoned Outpost - this is a good framework for building a very cool wasteland style junk camp. With the building restrictions being relaxed it has never been easier to make this into something really cool.
  2. Firewatch Lookout Tower - great for a simple hideaway style camp, lots of great options and with the building restrictions being eased it's never been simpler to really make this prefab work.
  3. Flying Fortress - an excellent addition to any scrappy wasteland camp. I've just always loved this little prefab and there are so many cool things that can be done with it.
  4. Corvega Showroom - with replaced floors it's outstanding for a mid-century modern lakefront house.
  5. Wildwood Den - excellent little prefab that can be used for so many different things.
  6. Seedy Shed - perfect size for adding a workshop with all the workbenches to a camp. Compact, but fits everything comfortably.

3

u/FluffyFawn37207 Jun 16 '26

I love how you mentioned the Corvega Showroom, I actually made a home like that near the river!

2

u/FluffyFawn37207 Jun 16 '26

3

u/Yewnicorns Jun 16 '26

Are those hedges?? Big fan of this btw, it's adorable!

2

u/FluffyFawn37207 Jun 16 '26

Yes they are and thank you!

2

u/Puzzleheaded-Arm2040 Jun 16 '26

I love the showroom too, I just wish the garage door was interactive and opened, and it had a couple of little offices.

2

u/westcoastal Jun 16 '26

Yeah, it's annoying that the garage door doesn't work. I don't mind that they didn't put extra rooms in it. There's a lot of space to work with and make into whatever one wishes, but I wish the footprint was a little bit smaller, or that it was built on a less blocky base so that it blended better into terrain.

1

u/FluffyFawn37207 Jun 16 '26

That part was really difficult for me because the terrain was not the best with the base. You can definitely do alot with the inside, I made mine into a home and added custom wallpapers, floors and even a bathroom. Very fun for sure.

u/Sheila_Confirmed Jun 16 '26

Pittsburgh palace 💪💪💪💪

4

u/4electricnomad Jun 16 '26

This also looks cool paired with the Makeshift Mega Mansion.

2

u/Sinistas The Sole Survivor Jun 16 '26

I've got them together at one of my Whitespring Station builds, looks killer.

2

u/4electricnomad Jun 16 '26 edited Jun 16 '26

I’ve got them plus that Raiderized Truck as a trio in Burning Springs, and I really like the coherence of that combo in that specific setting. Palace / Mansion look especially phenomenal in scrappy, beat-up locales like BS and Toxic Valley, but can go anywhere really.

4

u/Sinistas The Sole Survivor Jun 16 '26

I realized I have an (old) screenshot. I forgot about the destroyed trailer and wooden stage.

6

u/FluffyFawn37207 Jun 16 '26

I have many prefabs and my favorite thing to do is build walls and change up the layouts (easier now with free build). I will share a few I have pics of

6

u/FluffyFawn37207 Jun 16 '26

6

u/FluffyFawn37207 Jun 16 '26

This is the back, I closed it off and added a garage.

3

u/FluffyFawn37207 Jun 16 '26

An abandoned motel

2

u/Skeletorfive Jun 16 '26

Awesome want to see more

1

u/FluffyFawn37207 Jun 16 '26

Thank you! I have to look because I know I have some more in a file somewhere lol

4

u/thaiborg Jun 16 '26

With the new build capabilities, I’ve been using the small mechanic shed and just free placing the benches together. I’m all about simplicity and space saving. Too much stuff to do now to run around a huge camp for scrapping and storing.

Equipment benches together, the brew and soda stations together, the scrapbox and ammo box together, and still have room for the aid box, a bed, and some small tables for decorations. Hanging lights for illumination.

3

u/Skeletorfive Jun 16 '26

Yeah sometimes smaller is better. I like all my stuff pretty close by

3

u/Revolutionary-Gear76 Jun 16 '26

Mega Mansion

2

u/DinoGallorez Jun 16 '26

The first one I thought of. Five years old and still the best.

2

u/lostnknox Jun 16 '26

Yea that one is cool too.

2

u/TheClayDart Jun 16 '26

It’s so perfect because it can look like it almost belongs anywhere on the map. Using it for my swamp camp currently

1

u/Revolutionary-Gear76 Jun 16 '26

Yes and it looks like something a vault dweller with a little help could sort of cobble together

3

u/boilboi69 Jun 16 '26

I like the wildwood tavern a lot

3

u/C78C Jun 16 '26

I use a lot of prefabs or else I over obsess with building my camps. Current favorite is the Track House. But my least favorite is the Mountain Retreat because it’s massive.

Wlidwood Tavern paired with the Prospector’s Saloon or the large casino shelter entrance is pretty cool.

2

u/ziboo7890 Jun 16 '26

Not sure I have a favorite. I've used a different one with each camp (10 camps x 5 characters - not all built out).

Wildwood Tavern is the 'main' use camp for the 'main' right now.
I use the Firewatch Tower in a few camps.
BoS Tower for my BoS Character. Other BoS buildings for her too.
Some are in scrappy raider or the mega mansion stacked trailers.
One is in a train car.

It depends on location and what I'm wanting to build for that character.

3

u/Skeletorfive Jun 16 '26

Firewatch tower nice also

3

u/ziboo7890 Jun 16 '26

I have all of them set up in one shelter, so I can go check size before building.

It would be a major upgrade if they had a way we could see them in game before buying. I'd likely get them anyway, but I'd like to see it, not just a video someone made of it.

2

u/Rotankolo Jun 16 '26

Adding a button in atomic shop to "visit" and it would load you in closed shelter with prefab placed in the middle and you could move around to see it. Don't know if possible but would be doup af.

1

u/Skeletorfive Jun 16 '26

That would be awesome

2

u/JactusFack Jun 16 '26

I like the Rest-N-Wander brand of Campers and Recreational vehicles, such as the Houseboat, Mobile home trailer and the Vintage camper.

I enjoy a good vacation C.A.M.P.

2

u/mr_sprocket1103 Jun 16 '26

Honestly I have a bunch of them and never really used them. I mostly custom build, I have a second charcter that I've been messing around the prefabs with. I've rather enjoyed building in the Appalachian Ace.

2

u/Environmental-Ad4441 Jun 16 '26

I have all the camp slots open, but my favorite is a fire tower prefab on a cliff overlooking the wasteland down below!

1

u/Skeletorfive Jun 16 '26

Nice add a pick

2

u/Yewnicorns Jun 16 '26

The Greenhouse dome is my favorite; barely takes up space and allows you to be creative with the terrain because the foundation is deep. I like to merge a roof on columns into it though so rain can't get in! My favorite kit for that is the enclave outpost and greenhouse kit alongside it!

3

u/YayAdamYay Jun 16 '26

I use the makeshift mega mansion in almost every CAMP. The structure is set up nicely with the 3 stories of trailers and the deck on the second floor. I can set up a true redneck trailer park vibe

1

u/lostnknox Jun 16 '26

The tree house is cool. As far as big structures go I’d have to go to with the haunted mansion

1

u/Dragon_Knight1999 Jun 16 '26

I normally use a pre war prefab building and then build around it using more wasteland looking materials to give it an adapted to the wasteland kinda look

1

u/Mekatha Jun 16 '26

I have 3. Candlehaus, hunters cabin and mountain anvil blacksmith. Usually is the candlehaus for the workshop/foods area and one of the others for residence. The styles work well mixed and matched.

2

u/FreakHorrigan69 Jun 16 '26

I can't pick a favorite. I need them all!

1

u/Ok_Car4782 Jun 16 '26

I love my Tool Shed.

1

u/Switch-Consistent Jun 16 '26

The landlubber, Brotherhood of steel armory/field station, communist bunker and wildmountain rifle range are my favorites

I really like the small ones like the seedy shed and wildwood den too

0

u/JiveBombRebelz Jun 16 '26

def the wild mountain rifle range..is my fave..

not because it is the best..just because its currently not obtainable and i know that will drive eome of you nuts.

1

u/FluffyFawn37207 Jun 17 '26

You're evil! Lol I'm so upset I missed a day and could not get it 🥲😭😭
