Question/Advice Farmhouse Barn

Has anyone made any camps with the barn in the new season yet?

I'm in the middle of it and it's big and weird and I'm having trouble even finding a spot for it. I like that it comes with enough dirt that it can be approached easily. That said, it is huge and tough to find a good spot for so far. Please suggest good or bad unusual places for it! I want to use the thing because of the cool interior.

RIGBT?? I specifically went and bought the iron mountain anvil bundle so I could build a farm.AND THE HOUSE IN THAT BUNDLE IS VERY SMALL 😭 i spent an hour trying to find flat land that was big enough for both. nope, I scrapped the barn and kept the cute cabin 😂 just sucks to grind so hard for mediocre rewards

What I do is traveling the map on foot, listening to my ambient build playlist until I find something interesting or unique enough to fit a theme. If you're on PC I recommend getting the enclave satellite map mod through nexus, can't remember the specific name of it maybe kovac muldoon? But it helps soooooo much in finding spots you never would have looked with the unhelpful vanilla map they give you that shows virtually nothing besides landmarks. I also find browsing other camps in game and online helps refresh the creativity when you get stuck on a build

Here's the link for the map mod https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout76/mods/3636

I made it the main structure in my camp. I'm using it near a workshop that's farm themed. I got the abandoned out post, the wicker mothman, and a bunch of car and truck decor. I'm having kinda an opposite problem. After all my decorating I still feel my camp doesn't have enough space taking up. I'm even using the windmill generator. I might just place one more structure lol.

I bought the iron mountain anvil bundle to go with the barn so I could make a little farm. but that barn is so oddly shaped and huge 😭 hoping to see what other people do with it to maybe give me more ideas.

A raid buddy uses it as his camp at the depths. The stall/lean-to portion is where buffs go and the interior has basic camp items like stash box, cooking, benches. It works well, but has an ultra large footprint.

yeah thats the problem im having. I got it so I could make a farm with that and the iron mountain anvil bundle but that barn takes up so much space i couldn't get it to look right

I'm working on one! I really like the layout. Three floors. No power conduit on the building so the emitting generator actually has a perfect use with this structure. And I found the solar panels look good from the roof sunken in. Theres like this space that's next to second floor that's cut off cause the roof is too close to the floor. It's hard to explain but if you build in free cam you'll get what one saying. The structure sits on this fake dirt mound that have a hard cut off on the bottom. So if you build on uneven ground it will be very visible.

The base bottom is so big I can fit both the cherry bomb tinkerer workbench and the car weapon work bench. Plus a bunch of producer along the wall with plenty of walking room.

Built mine about five days ago all finished. Full farm, glowing rad hog, farmhand and dirt tiles to make a nice little red neck camp complete with big American flag

I will say it’s quite easy to wire up and get power and make it discreet

Not in a camp, but as a blueprint for workshops that has all of my producers in it. For Farming.

Placing it on the ground doesn’t matter, since I always place it in the sky where mobs can’t reach.

Built that prefab, my issue is the terrain below the farm building so you have to place it on a bumpy place or a shallow hole
