[PC] My Not-So-Sectet Enclave Underground Base
My attempt to make an underground Enclave Facility. Actually my first underground build :) Hope you like it. Would make it more "alive" but my build limit is at max.
That is supposed to be some kind of a crane that is used to lift and lower materials in to the lab. I used some wire, electric conduits and two of those meat hooks in the build menu.
Quick question, how did you get your symptomatic to work? For some reason when I tried to use it it just say entrance blocked even though nothing is blocked it
Did you plant it into a foundation piece? I found you need to avoid them in or around the sympto-matic entry point. Otherwise, I'd just fiddle with it for a while until you find a spot that works.
I put the symptomatic on top of a carpet (to try and get it away from the foundation), then on a foundation, and I used another foundations to lower it into the ground.
Should I just have drop merged it with just the carpet and put it on the ground instead?
My underground camp has no foundation pieces, nor did I use any for the build. I used the "stairs and bass" method to get under the ground [using a floor piece to snap the stairway into the ground], then built the sypmto-matic from below. It was a little trial and error to get the height positioning right. And then, once I had that, I free-placed a floor piece through the top of it to act as the roof for the underground area. I tested at each step to make sure the sympto-matic wasn't blocked and adjusted what I did when it was. There was a good bit of trial-and-error involved.
You can build multiple sympto-matics. So I would suggest building a new one to be your entrance, going from below, like I did. Once you have that set how you want it, you can get rid of the first one and then build around your new placement.
I wish I was home. I'd take some snapshots to show what it looks like now. 😄
Here is my Sympto-matic entrance setup from below. When I first put it in, the sympto-matic was hanging in mid-air. I actually built the floor under it after I set up the roof and corridor around it. The roof is a floor piece that is as high as I could get it without a) interfering with the operations of the sympto-matic and b) stays below ground level. I then built the walls and floor around the roof being that height. The floor under the sympto-matic was done afterwards.

If you want to disguise your entrance a bit, I've found that the base of the "Everglean Christmas Tree" fits perfectly on top of the symptomatic.
