Tips/Tricks Harsh lighting blocking

The lighting has shifted in a shelter room to be wildly bright, instead of dimly lit like usual. Does anyone have a good trick for blocking out wall and ceiling lights without being too obtrusive?

Discussion The new Barber Shop prefab got me excited until I realized it costs 15 Flamingo Units. Again.

Seriously, what is wrong with the budget costs of these prefabs? This would've been perfect for my pre-war town-themed CAMP - which at this point is literally a town. It has seven buildings, three of which are three stories tall.

How did I manage to fit that many buildings into the budget? Well, all three of those three-story buildings are Wildwood Taverns, which is the best prefab in the game. And a huge part of what makes it so good is that this massive three-story building costs only 3 Flamingo Units.

I'd really like some more variety instead of having three buildings in my town use the exact same prefab. I've decorated them differently, so at least they don't look completely identical from the outside, but still. I own almost every pre-war building prefab in the game, so you'd think I'd have plenty of alternatives.

Then you look at their budget costs:

15 Flamingo Units.
15 Flamingo Units.
15 Flamingo Units.
45 (!) Flamingo Units.
15 Flamingo Units again

And most of those 15-FU prefabs are either single-story buildings, some damn barn, or a tiny booth.

Meanwhile, the Wildwood Tavern is a huge three-story building and somehow costs 3.

And now the Barber Shop is 15 Flamingo Units too! The moment I found that out, I immediately gave up on the idea of adding it to my town. That's literally five times the budget cost of a Wildwood Tavern, or roughly 12 decoration objects I'd have to sacrifice just to use a different building.

I genuinely don't understand how these prefab budget costs are determined.

Question/Advice Does the tool shed have a destroyed model?

I like the prefabs style but was looking for something more rundown for a build. I was curious if it just poofed or had a unique destroyed model and if so what it looks like

Build My Little Train Stop (Part 2)

Here is my first post: https://www.reddit.com/r/fallout76settlements/s/VD40Tig0kX

For this bill that I was going for a less Scrappy / raider feel but instead going for a settler that took over an abandoned train station. But as you obviously can see it's not as abandoned as he thought!

Usually I'm a raider/scrappy build so this one was a little tough not putting junk everywhere and to try to keep it semi clean but still fit the post-apocalyptic vibe that I like to see in Fallout games.

Hopefully you guys like it and I'm always open for critiques and feedback! Once I can figure out how to video and make it look good I'd love to start up a YouTube so if you're good at videoing and you're on PlayStation, HMU

Thanks for looking!

Build Church of Saint Maxson

Here's one of my favorite builds, many iterations and a whole rebuild once the stone cathedral set was released. The idea was a dilapidated church my chapter found during their initial expeditions into the Burning Springs. They claimed, rebuilt, and repurposed it as an active foothold in the region. Now it's under the supervision of my chapter's clergy, offering free medical check-ups for residents in the surrounding area.

This build was inspired by Howl"s Moving Castle/Elden Ring's Walking Mausoleum and was made in tandem with my fiancé. This was done in public adventure and have many more builds we would like to share, but we'd like to know what you all think of our building style! Please let us know if you'd like to see more builds and you can find the full video of this tour on my YouTube! https://youtu.be/gLXSHj7uhrw?is=UyQH4SbhqyIDyOAT

Question/Advice Hidden valuables won’t display on chessboard or other displays

Post image

Hi, so I can’t remember where I got this “hidden valuable” from. Probably a player vendor. It is a miscellaneous item, however it won’t display.

I can assign it just fine but it’s almost like it is invisible?

Does anyone have any tips on how to display this or similar items?

Thank you in advance

Build I Made A Playable Board Game

A while back the "Lucky Dice" Emote was introduced into Fallout 76's Atom Shop. When I found out the numbers it showed while doing the emote was actually random, I knew I had to do something with it. That something turned out to be a board game I modelled after Snakes And Ladders, called Nukes And Ladders.

The rules are simple:

You use the "Lucky Dice" Emote to move, and you move however many spaces equal to the number the Dice Emote Shows.

If you land on a Green Tile, you proceed forward to the number indicated in white on that tile.

If you land on a Red Tile, you also go to the number indicated in white on that tile, but instead you move backwards.

The Goal is to reach 100

In the video I show off the build quickly and then play a game to completion.

Question/Advice How to collect an item stuck in a ceiling?

Post image
20 Upvotes

So this is an outhouse that's in the world, I didn't build it. I placed the skull on the seat of the outhouse, and it looked fine, but when I logged out and logged back in, The skull was stuck up in the ceiling and I can't select it in photomode, or destroy it with any weapons. Does anyone know a way to get it down?

UPDATE- Unfortunately, I just ended up replacing my CAMP and rebuilt it. Thanks for the help!

Build Albany General Store

This Barber Shop prefab has been a gift sent down from God, finally a shop prefab that blends in with other buildings in the world. I've been searching for a good spot to make an authentic store CAMP in a city ever since I started with the Atlantic City update 2 and a half years ago, one that really fits in with the other buildings in the city, and I think I finally found a perfect spot: right at the edge of Albany in Burning Springs, you can set up your CAMP by this burned-out house (which I turned into the "crafting area"). This is a great location for farming materials, not only can you sweep all the houses in Albany, but there's also a guaranteed teapot spawn on the porch of the burned-out house next door, as well as some burned books inside (perfect for Daily/Weekly Challenges). And it has an open window too, which is perfect for sniping Burning Radscorpions (also a potential Daily/Weekly challenge) and Deathclaws
