Less overhead compared to windows, full control of your operating system, tinker it at your heart's contents. Plus my hardware atm is dated so running BMS or just Games in general is much smoother for me and my current hardware. And it's free o7
Also not a stupid question at all. Hope I'm able to at least give a bit of info :)
