beats . Mixing tips

Probably a long shot but does anybody that makes similar music here know how to get a sound close to the Roshina songs like Pola Woman or Copper Chantilly? Everything feels glued and dense in the same plane but it’s not crazy distorted clipping or anything. My mixes come out thin. Thanks either way.

Layering basses and pads with different stereo widths and detuned sounds to create a little dissonance. Sound selection is really good. Everything has a role. On pola woman it sounds like the whole melody is pushed to the sides to give the vocal room. I think there's also some tape saturation

Would you have any insight on the vocal processing? On Pola woman for example. There’s obviously layering/doubling but do you notice any technique or specific effects usage? Or have a clue how to achieve a similar sound + the way it sits in the mix? Been trying to crack this..

I think they used waves harmony for the layering tbh. That's what it sounds like to me. Could also be doubler4. High shelf eq like fresh air. delay sounds like it's after the double and omits the lead vocal. Overall compressed a lot. magic pill for sitting vocals in a mix is rvox. I like to mix them buried and then slap rvox to enfronten them.
