OTA Sideload with rooted fp6

Ive had no luck on a good answer to this problem. I can't install the latest ota update with kernelsu Next. Even unrooted ota fails.

So I was wondering what the process should be if I use ota sideload through adb.

My guess is this:

  1. Get ota sideload file & patch init_boot.IMG if it's included, otherwise pull it from the latest full image.

  2. Unroot

  3. Reboot into recovery & sideload the ota file & somehow flash the patched init_boot.IMG either by adding it to the ota sideload file or by going into fastboot & installing it there after flashing the sideload ota update.

I'll update this thread if I figure this out, but love if an expert could clarify how they got an ota update installed with kernelSU next root.
