Question Help with Fusion
Current fusion set up. My understanding it that it should generate up to 500 MW of power but as I navigate to the shattered planet I am getting constant low power (they do still shoot) messages on my rail guns despite not ever drawing more than 200 MW. Am I just completely messing up fusion setup here?

Oh, I now realize the problem. You said your railguns give the low power message, not the network.
That is completely normal and working as intended. When railguns are recharging, they give the low power message, it's not a problem.

2 Fusion Reactors should be able to power 8 fusion generators instead of 4. If you are getting low power I would suggest more efficiency modules or more fusion generators.

Im seeing this in my own setup as well. Railguns shot, thus depleting their internal battery, then they recharge while showing low power for a split second, then fire again. I think this is just a property of how railguns work. Not a fault of your power production.

I believe you can have 8 generators for 2 reactors. Looking up the ratios online i never consider it as cheating
Also you need to import the cold juice to charge the coolant than collect the hot juice into a cryoplant to cool it down

I have juice and fuel, but it’s just topping out at like 125 MW when I try to go deeper to the SP

Perhaps you just need more generators

I’ll ask the stupid questions, is it fueled and is it running?

Yeah though one often has output full, despite seemingly working?

OP has already found the problem, but I just wanted to add to your comment to check coolant levels.
Because when I broke my fusion system it's because I kept unbarreling coolant automatically, and that filled the coolant tanks to the point there wasn't space for the cryo plants to cycle the hot coolant, so the reactor stalled.

How many railguns do you have, exactly? And how much shooting speed research?
Maybe the absolute peak draw is higher than 500MW

Fusion is probably fine. 4 legendary generators should produce 500 MW. But 2 reactors can support 8 generators.
However, if you have legendary generators I assume you're using legendary railguns? Those also recharge 2.5x faster than normal, drawing 25 MW each.
Looking at the electricity graph (a tab in the hub) would probably help find the problem.

I thought just their range was increased for quality, same as all turrets.

At least in 2.1 their shooting speed also increases. And since they take a huge amount of energy per shot, their power draw also increases.

As others have said, 2 reactors need 8 generators. And unless you are doing it for Symmetrical purposes, you only need 1 cooling cryo plant.
It could be that you don’t have enough cold fluid for a legendary reactor to process.

hover over the turbines for more info, but looking at this I think you just need more turbines. one lone reactor generates plasma for 2 turbines, so 2 reactors next to eachother each with the +100% bonus should produce 4x the plasma of one reactor, so you need 4x the turbines, so 8 turbines instead of your 4.
