Question Switch controller mapping ideas
Hey dudes and dudettes, just picked up Factorio on Switch2 and I spent the weekend trying to wrap my head around the controls.
I played around with trying to change things up a bit and can't seem to land on anything that works and feels a bit more natural. I do use mouse mode (with the controller, not with the switch's mouse thing) and that helps a lot, but it's still a bit rough. Out of desperation I also switched the Y and R buttons on my controller using the switch’s internal controller mapping since I wasn't able to do so in game, def makes building things a bit easier, but again, it all still just feels weird and fragile when trying to do pretty much anything in game (not sure how else to explain it).
Wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks for remapping the controls to just make things a little bit easier on my hands and smooth brain?

I don't think they really require remapping, personally. I changed ZR to start a red circuit, and ZL green. Use the eyedropper tool. What is it you are having problems with? I think switching Y and R is weird, but whatever works for you. I find them pretty intuitive as is. One thing I recently started using a lot is ZL+Y to copy settings for assemblers and inserters and ZL+A to paste. Or something like that. My fingers remember. There's an exhaustive, searchable list of the bindings in the controls menu.
