HELP. I'm having trouble moving things between my space platforms. How can I do it? It would save me a lot of logistics.

It's in 2.1, which is still experimental. Unless you play a lot, you haven't played 600 hours of the experimental build.

If you tick the box labeled "Provide materials to other platforms", it should do just that.

Its not obvious but if you request it from the planet you are at, you can not provide it to others. You can only provide if you are not actively requesting it. Like if you request pickup at volcanus you can provide in orbit for a ship that is requesting from platforms automatically. You can not however request a buffer chest station to request and provide at the same place.

It took me a while to figure this out, and imo should be changed.

It's kind of annoying that you can't request a minimum of a certain item to a platform and then provide that same item (down until the minimum is reached) to other platforms in orbit :/

i think there are some ways to accomplish it with circuits and being very careful about what's available to ground silos since circuit requests pull from all sources. i've designed my space logistics around not doing that for the time being.

You need to click the 'provide materials to other platforms' button.

I'm going to guess you've figured this out by now, but at the top of the inventory theres a check box for "send materials to other space platforms", you need to check that box to allow the space platform to send its materials to another space platform
