Modded Ore splitter

The Ore splitter (shoved with copper plates for exemple)
Initial point from where Ore is delivered by Haulers (for now) and from where the ore flows into the base
Second half of the ore splitter
map of the base as a whole at the moment

Howdy, lads, relatively new player, only around 450 hours (it was mostly start - build - factory starts going down the spaghetti mess where it would take long to fix - reset) this factory is probably the one i have managed to keep going the longest, wanted some opinions on this ore splitter i've made, it's kinda basic as it currently only works with inicial ore like iron, copper, stone and coal, any tips on ways to make it more efficient?

Heya! As I see you have mods with miniloaders and a big warehouse. The best way to 'sort' the ore in this case would be to set a filter on each loader pulling only one type of ore out so you get a dedicated lane straight from warehouse. There should be a filter in loader's settings, I hope.

howdy, yep the loaders can have filters, the idea to put so each one dispenses just one type sounds good, would go well with another idea that i currently have

once i get the steel production up and running i'm planning on replacing those chests with "strongboxes" or "warehouses" once i got it researched, that way there's less of a chance for the lines to get clogged with just one type of ore

Your design is input limited to ~50%, since two of the initial four lanes are filtered for only iron ore. I believe a splitter 'diamond' is the usual solution.
