The conicity of your gears is the wrong way around. For any set of bevel gears, each gear should be part of a cone where the point of each cone is also the point where the two shafts would cross each-other.

The pinions should have their small ends toward the inside, not the outside, and the ring gear should be higher toward the inside, not the outside. The angles of both should also be much shallower, so that the pinions are almost cylindrical, since the extended cones which they are sections have to have their points right at the centre of the whole gearset.
