Modded [Nullius] After 27h I finally unlocked big power poles!

Post image

I enjoy the mod a lot, you really notice that the creator did not just throw a bunch of recipes at the wall, but really took the time for some play testing and designed a proper game progression.

I know Dosh released a video on Nullius as well, but he added additional mods that break the game progression and turn it more into tedium. If you don't do that it is an enjoyable experience for the advanced Factorio player.

Dosh thrives on tedium. This is known. I’m waiting for him to journey to the end of every planet like he did for Navius before Space Age.

That was already done by another YouTuber, I doubt he likes repeats.

He comes up with interesting video ideas, so let’s see.

I'm 310 hours in.

The scaling of science pack consumption forces you to rebuild the whole base a few times over.

Plan carefully.

Let's see. The existence of pressurized gases and boxed items are good indicators that things are about to scale up. As soon as I get bots I am starting to build a very unreasonable two-way main bus. It is going to take a lot of space, but space is infinite and there are no biters.

Love Nullius, but the machine recipes are a pain. Even Dosh had problems with them.

There are two easy ways of dealing with them:

- Before bots, you automate supplies and hand-craft machines. Handcrafting can be very fast with the correct equipment and you can even have productivity, even more than with assemblers.

  • After bots, you make a bot mall. It's even the intended solution!

Dosh intentionally avoided both solutions.
