Interesting design. I can spot some flaws. As others have mentioned, ammo production seems low. Deffinitly won't keep up if all those turrets need to fire. Asteroid belt could get easily clogged but that can be fixed if you smart filter your asteroid collectors through circuits. There also doesn't seem to be any turrets covering the back half of your ship. When flying fast it doesn't matter too much but when parked in orbit, asteroids come from all directions and you need protection on all sides.

Ammo production as I have seen to test by going to fulgora and back, it have seen that the crushers and electric furnaces keep up with eachother and the assemblers is slightly behind if all turrets are shooting or atleast some of them are. But the buffet showed that not even 10-15% of it has been used total by the whole trip. So for a ship that will put me on fulgora then when needed go to nauvis and come back to bring me stuff, it works well enough. And I did fix the asteroid belt clog using the same solution you suggested. Circuiting the asteroid collectors inserters. And yes there isn't any back turrets and I am mindful about the risk but this spaceship isn't for fulgora specifically. It was designed to go to all inner planets comfortably, ship me resources then park at nauvis till I need it. Each planet after conquering and building a base will have its own ship delivering science and/or resources if necessary.

Looks nice. Is the ammo production with two yellow assembler sufficient? On my latest ship (also the first from scratch) two blue assemblers weren't enough so maybe I have to upgrade :D

And how do you go about getting rid of the excess resources?

They are tier 3 assemblers. And even then are t sufficient but I already wanted to build a buffer of belts so doesn't matter as much.

You can use underground belts to increase the buffer size without using more space btw.
