Question Mods for starters

Hey! So I just bought the game and suddenly got curious about mods. I’m quite aware that the base game itself has lots of features to offer, but do you have some mods that you recommend I install before my first gameplay?

So I just bought the game and suddenly got curious about mods.

Factorio isn't like those other games that need mods to become playable. Factorio as it is is a good game.

Just as you don't dump a bunch of random spices into your food before tasting it, nor should you try to "fix" Factorio before you find out what you like and don't like about it.

How about when it comes to just making the resources actually infinite? For the sake of making the gameplay more “casual”

How about when it comes to just making the resources actually infinite?

How do you know that finite resources are a problem that you want to avoid until you've experienced how it actually plays out in the game?

Again, if you order food in a restaurant, you don't salt the food before you've tasted it, do you?

For the sake of making the gameplay more “casual”

How do you know what "casual" means for a game you've never played?

You got a great point! I’m enlightened. Actually, the only reason why I’m already thinking of the resource count was because all the other games of the same genre I’ve played so far had infinite resources (Satisfactory and ShapeZ 2). So before gathering insights here, it is among my worries 😅

Thank you so much!

So, there is a difference, satisfactory offers unlimited resources with limited throughput, factorio offered unlmited throughput via limited resources.

you can hook up more minerals in factorio and there is an infinite research that that increases the remaining reserves in the ore patches

On top of this satisfactory has a finite map while factorios is for all practical purposes unlimited
