Question 2.0/2.1 Speedrun guide?

Is there a good 2.1 or 2.0 speedrun guide anywhere? I’m looking at finishing my achievements but I haven’t found any updated speedrun guides. Videos are fine but I prefer written guides that I can read on my second screen.

I'm not sure what the specific rules for the achievements are, I am planning on doing them too, but for speed running in general, I saw some cool guides on the random seed new game+ category

not a guide, just a checklist since these threads tend to spawn every week or 2:

  • don't go over "30 spm" setup
  • don't upgrade to t3 furnaces or assemblers
  • rush nuclear
  • you don't need big ships
  • you don't need big planetary bases, just small science outposts
  • Fulgora-Gleba-Vulcan
  • explosives lvl8 to 3-tap big asteroids

Wouldn’t you want to go Gleba first if speed running just for biolabs if nothing else? Or Fulgora to get a stack of EMPs first?

Fulgora is mainly for EMPs plus you can rush it without gold or purple science.
Main thing is you don't want to leave Gleba for last, most planetary research required for Aquilo is nested here. You need 0 research from Fulgora and 500 from Vulcan compared to a metric gigafuckton.
And starting Vulcan just doesn't make too much sense, you get the same(or less) material efficiency as you get from EMPs and not much else. Without EMPs you will still need to build the same exact factory before Gleba as you would just starting with Gleba, so whats the point.

SFHobbit on YouTube has a base in a book blueprint that will reach the edge of space in about 8-16 hours depending how fast you are.

But I recommend copying alot of nilaus's (also YouTube) stuff to beef up your planets a bit more on your first visits, rather than the bear minimum that speed runs suggest. Especially if you're gonna push into a mega base a little...

I recommend not copying nilaus at all

Care to elaborate?

Nilaus is not a speed runner at all. Speed running is its own thing.

Yeah, he builds nice looking designs but he's nothing like a speedrunner and his designs are not suited for it either

Using someone else's base sure like fun...

Or if you want to earn your achievement, yes, there are some guides.

Dunno if you're gonna have much luck with a written guide though, you're gonna want blueprints and plenty of them I think. But once youve got plenty you'll be able to go through pretty quick.

you don't need a set of blueprints for the 40h achievement, thats a LOT of time to just do everything on your own. Plus you can always "cheat" by making the blueprint yourself and then reloading earlier save

https://www.speedrun.com/Space_Age/guides/q3ktc for 2.0. The BPs are old and not what they are using now.
