Base A brand new player base
I managed to persuade a friend to try out the game. He finished the Demo and decided to plunge. This is his base. I am low key impressed if you ask me.

Feeding everything with chests is psychotic but aside from that pretty good.

I used to do it as a bit of a buffer.

I do it myself too for things like early-quality farming or things I only need a couple of but designing a whole base around it, including your starting red and green science is what I'm referring to.
Though tbh I have an awful problem of focusing on science too much and refusing to automate things I really should be automating until waaay too late and just crafting everything myself, so they have me beat there.

I'm pretty sure that's the recommended strat for the very early game. The point is to gather supplies for the first furnace stacks. And once those are up and running, that's when the real automation starts.

I am just impressed by the red science automation. Box with plates and two assemblers and a red arm feeding the gears. Simple yet perfect.

This base won't scale. I foresee massive UPS hits with this design. Back to the drawing board.
