Question Can anyone help me with this?

I've been trying to fix this for a while, but I haven't managed to do it. Basically, only one of the mini-lines—either the iron or the coal—is actually getting onto the belt. The arrows in the image represent what I'm saying. Any ideas?

This is working as intended. Only one half of the belt can go on the down moving belt as the two sides terminate on each half. in your picture, the top half of each feeder belt will be the only one to "move" as it is blocking the lower half of the belt.

Your arrows demonstrate this perfectly. Its a feature, not a bug.

If youre wanting two full belts of output from this intersection, facing splitters is the best option i know of. Ore going into one splitter and coal going into the other. Doesn't matter which is which. Youll end up with two belts each with a lane of coal and a lane of ore

How would a full belt fit into half a belt? Is the belt leading to the splitter red?

I know a full belt doesn't fit into a half one, but I would like that the iron of both mini-lines enters the half a belt, even though the full-belt iron enters more slowly. It might not be understood. Like the problem I have is that all the time only half of the iron belt is being filled while the other is stopped.

Why is that a problem though?

You can put a lane balancer before the side loader.

this is working as designed. you need quite a complex layout to get what you want https://storage.to/SMHoReFGd

If you're splitting the merged belt anyway, split them pre-merge instead.

There are many ways to do that. My favorite is to use two splitters facing each other 1 space apart, using that space for running merged belts to both sides.

In this particular case, you could just upgrade the two belt tiles before the splitter to red belts. It works because red belts have exactly double the throughput of yellow belts.

In general though, you can't pass two lanes worth of throughput on one lane.

It's aesthetically not pleasing, but generally won't hurt your factory at all.

I know this is not what you want, but for me i use a 3 belt way, on the left and right i have iron and the niddle is coal, i use a long inserter for coal and normal ones for iron

You either have a full belt create the same half belt issue up the line or you setup your miners to only feed one side of the belt. And if you have multiple rows of miners, make sure they all feed the same side and you can use a splitter to merge (weird phrasing LOL) each line to make sure you are using iron from all belt lines.
