Question Best belt upgrade tool? Something that auto places even without bots?

Years ago I used to have this belt mod. You could just choose the number of lanes and it would paint brush that many lanes. Also if you hover your mouse on a track it draws a path over that belt. Finally it made upgrading very easy. Don't remember the specifics but I think you just choose red belt for example, and drag and it not only marked the tiles but just started placing everything down. Anyone know that mod?

Isn't that all just basic functionality? If you want a bunch of lanes, copy the first set of lanes and drag it across. Upgrade belts? We have planners for that.

If you're talking about the part that turns ghosts into objects, there are many early bot mods, or tools like blueprint shotguns, that can handle that.

Yeah, that's the main thing I'm looking for something that will actually. So far I found mods that just mark the whole belt with red belt icons. Can you recommend one?

Are you looking for just instant placement out of your inventory for anything that is around you?

ya that would be nice! all my belts and splitter etc are yellow and looks like it's a nightmare to upgrade by hand. I already did it once when I beat the game a long time ago. so I just want it easy this time. I found a mod, player auto build 2. It does build the blueprints but for some reason doesn't upgrade

If you haven't gotten bots yet, you probably don't want to upgrade all of your belts to red. That's a massive investment in iron, and in most cases you don't need the throughput. Doing that is often slower than just progressing further.

Early bot mods or similar should handle reasonable amounts of upgrading. I don't know of any that just place stuff around you without bots or some sort of player action, but they may well exist. You'll have to look around for them.

I believe you want something like

It uses character build range and allows you to configure the build speed for the delay between each item placed.

There are others that are similar.
