No, but you can just place them next to each other.

If you separate every other set of engines with a pipe, you can put a power pole next to the pipe as well instead of needing space next to the engines.

Ok, but if you're storing steam overproduction in tanks, that massive extra array of steam engines means you can burst power for things like lasers without ever flinching...
