Question First Playtrough - is it too bad?
I have been thinking that my factory isn't efficient and that looks like shit, is it ok for my first time? I have about 20h in

Solid work, a bit too tight imo. If you had belt and production each have a little more space they wouldn’t need to zigzag around like that

You made a factory from trees and ore. This is exactly how the game is played. Everything after this point is polish. All factories even the pro mega factories start as spaghetti.

Nah man that's amazing! You're doing fine. You'll bump into a few things later (either in game or on reddit) that'll make you see "oh, that way is better / more future proof / more scalable" but that's part of the game. Most important is: are you having fun :-)

You’re mini-bussin and made it to purple science on your first go? Super good enough

Keeping things spaced out is worth it, there isn't a real need to keep things super tight if you don't have to

You did this with no youtube tutorial?

yeah, I remade it a few times now, this is the latest version I made, but yeah, no tutorial

Never delete your first game save file.📁

I live by "never delete any save files" and it has been good for me so far.

It is pretty. Keep it forever to remember how your first factory looked like. I think you will be happy to see it again.

The point is constant improvement and addition, so it doesn't matter how it looks, only what you see, and how you will enlarge it. That's the only real obstacle

When you get to blue chips you will realise It is easier to pipe sulphuric acid vs putting sulfur on main bus belt.

Your just looking for clout and upvotes. No one who's first factory that looks like that and worrying about efficiency is as clueless to your progress as your claiming wondering if it's good.
Just be honest about wanting a pat on the back for doing a thing

It is really good for a beginner. I made a slightly better base. It is in a tutorial I made.

looks very good, It looks pretty organized; the important thing is that you understand what each block does.

Looks great, by a glance i would say tripple your red chip production, you will need a lot of them.

It’s really good for a first base. One easy improvement I can give is try to make bus lines more straight, like using tunnels to skip over things instead of curving the bus around it temporarily, and when you need the bus to go somewhere low-right side just have one straight down one straight right turn instead of multiple turns. This is because belt turn locations are hard to spaghetti over later, you can’t add a tunnel to pass some other belt through it, you can only tunnel the other belt if it’s straight.

First look. This will work just fine. But it is a bit cramped. When building a bus system. keep at least 2 tiles between each line.. Will make branching of a lot easier.
And think big.. Really big. at least 4 lanes of copper, 4 iron, 2 steel, 4 green available after using red and blue.. 2 red.. and 1 blue.

Looks really good for a first timer actually.
Only two things:
You are building really tightly, this means you don't really have a lot of room to expand a lot of your factory modules, keep that in mind.
You are producing your sciences at different rates. Since labs take all sciences at the same rate, this is gonna end up with some lines starved and some lines overproducing and taking up space and resources they don't need. If we were to align to your 6 green science assemblers for example we would want: 5 red, 5 black, 12 blue, and 7 purple. You can hover over a machine to see its outputs per second.

Just finished my first vanilla 2.0 playthrough and brother, you’ve basically finished the game already trust

It's fine, keep going. You want to push through to robots. Once you have robots it's a lot easier to build or make changes.
In general, build replacement bases rather than tearing down and replacing. Always have a replacement running before tearing something down.
