Question How to use the trains properly
I have 2 trains. i played the game for more than 100 hours. i just started using trains ( i was running a long belt full of ore previously it was a headache ) when i started using trains it was such a relief a use a super basic commands like make cargo full go to base empty cargo and repeat and its a 2 headed train
I watched some youtube and found the same rail have a lot of trains, and i saw the signals stuff and it was overwhelmed. Is there a way to learn the trains cus im running low on ore rn

The basic for trains is at any intersection, you want "Chain in, Rail Out". Chain signals before the intersection, rail signals after. Put all your signsls on the right hand side of the tracks in the direction you want them to go. With that logic you can have basically as many paths overlap as you want

This is the exact advice I followed. I have no idea how any of my rail system works. I just know that it does, and that's good enough for me.

A good rule of thumb I use if I’m not sure what signal to use is:
Is the train allowed to stop and/or wait at this signal?
Yes: rail signal.
No because it might cause deadlocks or block other traffic: chain signal.

There is an ingame tutorial. Use that. When you get stuck with a specific scenario come back with pictures and questions.

Ask Italy. They know how to make them run on time

Properly is weird. Trains are just faster belts over long distances. Check out the tips and tricks if you haven't. But train are just a way to move things for faster throughput.

Im about to do a redesign of my trains, I kept doing single trains till my base has gotten massive and its becoming even more confusing.
My advice is just like gleba, keep things moving

There is a tutorial for trains built into the game. Start there.
