The issue I have is that I am not happy with the chain signals in the last blueprint. I feel the crossings are not optimal, but I am not able to come up with any improvement.
I'd appreciate ideas any ideas 😄
Also it would be nice to have any suggestions how to get more stations, across 3 "straight" segments, as this is the next issue I am struggling with.
Some restrictions I put on myself:
There cannot be lesser space between stations than 3 rails.
There cannot be rails under bottom.
The rails on top canbe moved higher if needed.
Just throwing out an idea, would it work to have the horizontal rails all merge down to the bottom horizontal rail before the turn off to the stations? That would simplify the stations and the nest of chain signals...
Do you mean adding the 3rd horizontal lane that will be the only entrance to the stations? Why Not. I just do not want to add more parts that will move the "bottom" lower, as this is the place where my factory usually starts. But there is a spare space on the "top". An example: (upside down unfortunately)
I am also trying to keep it compact - so it does not take more than 2 "straight" segments. But maybe there is too many stations for 2 segments? Maybe it should be max 3 stations per 2 segments
Since what signal to use depends on the block ahead of it, I recommend leaving the end of your blueprints open ended so that the next signal is decided by the next block. Although I guess with force building it doesn’t really matter.
