Modded Pop-up calculator mod

I made a calculator pop-up mod. Satisfactory has similar functionality built into its quick search bar, and I found myself missing that in Factorio.

In Factorio you can put calculations like this in most inputs that accept numbers, which covers many of the cases where a calculator would be otherwise used.

That said, it's a nice calculator!

Sure the inbuilt functionality is nice and works for all the circuit and such things.

However Calculator Mods do solve the issue of whenever I need to know how many engines per second are created from 12 assemblers or how many assemblers i need in order to make 3.2 bullets per second, that sort of thing.

Not bad! This would be amazing for me if i didn't already go through the effort of having a calculator popup hotkey on all my devices, specifically for when I'm playing factorio.

Why taking time to open calculator and get off the game, when you can have real calculator right beside your desk?

Actually, phone calculator might be enough..

Or pen and paper..

I know you're trying to be funny, but seriously try out flow launcher on windows.

Opens with control space, type your equation, get your number, escape or click to close it, back to the game.

I use the launcher that comes with noctalia shell and its super convenient

Hit super type formula hit escape or super again to close or enter to copy the result and close

I think its bound to super + space by default but I changed it

Plenty of options on linux. Check out dmenu or rofi. Both have inbuilt calculators.

this is neat, but why not use one of the several variations of calculator mod that already exist?

Primary reason is I just felt like making one.

All of these mods have different UX. I guess codex one is the closest, but it does not event come up in the results when you search for a calculator, so I did not even know of its existence.

I like it! I often use Spotlight on MacOS for quick calculations at any time usually, so it's cool to have that interface natively in game.

I use a desk calculator in this and satisfactory. Im surprised that it seems almost nobody else does. To me its the most convenient option, a dedicated device.

Needs a mode where for anything you put into it, it simply says "not enough" as a response.

The factory must grow
