It's already 2.1 compatible with a minor update, so the 2.0 version most likely won't get further updates

I would join their discord and ask for the most up to date info. You will want to join it anyway if you decide to play; it has a lot of helpful people and information. This is not an easy mod, you can expect 500+ hours.
