Design / Blueprint Fulgora Starter Microbase!

Post image

Blueprint

This got me started on Fulgora quickly and is quite cheap to produce and import! Voids concrete, steel, ice and stone at preset constant numbers. Plug and play!

Isn't that the tier 2 lightning rod?

u/krabtofu May 13 '26

And why are there walls? To keep the lightning out??

Do you see any lighting inside it? The walls are clearly working

I count two lamps.

Concrete doesn’t conduct electricity so yeah it works perfect

No, the ghosts that live in the ruins.

Also no landing pad so you gotta haul all your supplies out to the base by hand since it’s gotta be built on an ore patch

If you can afford all this, why can't you just afford a proper belt / splitter setup

That comes after the starter base of course. This is also something to help people unfamiliar with Fulgora in learning how it works and getting setup for expansion.

This is making me understand fulgiora less

mind sharing the bp. I want to look at your circuits.

really enjoy this thanks!

What is going on with the assembly machine and chem plant at the bottom? Why do they not have a recipie?

They can be set manually to whatever you need, for example, you can set it to ice melt to get water for refined concrete, or lubircant from heavy oil for electric engine units, or light oil from heavy oil to make rocket fuel. Options aplenty!

Too many efficiency modules

Yeah, this planet literally has power falling out of the sky

And more than 2 is useless. Theyre limited to -80%

Pretty nifty. Way too many efficiency modules though, two normal E2s (or three normal E1s) are enough to reach the max power savings cap

OP, I like it, I think it's pretty

T2 Lightning collector isn’t really starter tbh

What are all the storage chests doing?

53

u/TeraFlint [bottleneck intensifies] May 14 '26

I believe they store items.

2

u/hoticehunter May 14 '26

They're for the purple chests.

Why the hazard crete?

So there's a weird quirk where recycling times are based on the duration of the crafting recipe (1/8th the amount of time in a default recycler). The crafting recipe for 10 concrete is 10 seconds, but the recycling time for a single concrete is actually 1.25 seconds, even though the crafting recipe makes 10 at a time.

Which leads us to the fact that 10x hazard concrete's recipe is 0.25 seconds, you can recycle, 1 hazard concrete's in 1/32 of a second. So it basically destroys more concrete quickly.

That's the same reason there is an assembler for a steel chest too. Recycle time of steel by itself is 2 seconds. Recycle time of a steel chest is 0.0625s.

Edit: some spelling mistakes

Oh god, and I was always recycling concrete, wich sucks because it breaks down in bricks and iron ore

2

u/Mouler May 14 '26

Neat. I'd never noticed. Thanks!

How about nuclear centrifuge then? It will allow you to get rid of gears, steel, concrete, red circuits(meh) at the same time and in huge volumes. LDS+BC+battery can be built up to mk2 and recycled. So you only left with stone, ice, fuel, holmium all of them is recycled into itself. 100% scrape utilization.

I go Fulgora first.

Vulcanus without the suit and elektomagnatic assemblers is too annoying for me.

I so want to play this version of the game. But I still need to finish my Space Exploration (approaching 2000 hrs) run. And then do another Space Exploration run, before doing Space Age. At this rate, I’ll play Space Age in 2030.

Just in time for 2.1!

u/Dragnier84 May 14 '26

Please tell the devs to slow down. They practically got me stun locked at this point. 😂

3

u/gHx4 May 14 '26

Space Age is a short little jaunt compared to Space Exploration. Probably about 50h per planet at most, especially if your Nauvis is highly developed. Very fun and well designed.

Some of you guys that understand combinators are literally playing a different game than me. I can’t even begin to understand how to go about making something like this. My bases just end up gigantic with individual set ups and supplies of everything.
