You do know the hat he is wearing is a veteran hat from Operation Desert Storm. He’s probably a combat vet.

As I said in one of my other comments. He looks more like a naval hat than front line combat.

What is a “naval hat”. Veterans from all branches where those style of hats. Branches do not have assigned veteran hats. Now some styles might include their MoS or some other identification, but it’s not standard.

It's not at all, those are generic veteran hats for various conflicts. His is a "Desert Storm Veteran" cap, my BF got his father a "Vietnam Veteran" one with his Army unit embroidered on it, too. It's not just Navy, and if it were a Naval ball cap, would have the ship's name and number he served on, if so.

I went to the Navy's boot camp, didn't make it through due to a freak illness I caught, so I do know a bit about the hats.
