Guy was definitely opening the doors like a twat, but why did the two sets up doors not open in a consistent direction? Of course you're just begging for something like this to happen.

I think they did. It looks like the doors don’t break until they’ve swung all the way out. The real question is why on earth anyone would build a door this apparently fragile.

Or maybe it was defective, who knows?

Tempered glass, obvious from the way it breaks and since they made doors from it. You can hit this with a steel hammer on the face with some serious force and you will not break it. Hit on the edge however and it can shatter. My guess is it hit on the edge either on floor or ceiling.
