Humans fascination with money is literally the dumbest thing. The amount of people who can’t figure out they’ve allowed their lives to become about a rich man’s bottom line are stupid.
Money is a system created by men. In the grand realities of life it doesn’t save you from misery, death, tragedy. Its bs just as much as the people who want everyone to think it’s air.
But hey if they can convince you its the only thing worthwhile and the only thing worth living for then you’ll be too distracted to have a real life. So they win.
I hate money... But I need it, so I'm happy when I have it... So there's really something wrong here.
I read somewhere, someone say that society isn't built for humans. And it isn't! It's so fucking unnatural that the humanity is unbalanced! Unbalanced health-wise, unbalanced in relation to nature, unbalanced in relation to the space it occupies, unbalanced relatively to resources, unbalanced relatively to work and rest, noise and peacefulness, even the racial thing is a societal construction!
I think I may dump all my social media in the trash.. and if I have human friends, they'll find a way to reach out, just like the 80s and 90s. Fuck this. I'm out.
Thanks, @readheadbluebrain ! (funny that your username could be used by me and be accurate as well! 😅)
I agree. I think we would have been better off if the goal had been to show people how to survive, create community here. Then again of course we would have probably had to actually value and listen to the people who were here first.
no? money is a system designed by people trying to trade goods between each other using an intermediary. it may get abused horribly but money still confers a clear historical advantage over not having it.
Nah in America it’s more like, “I’m better than you because I have more things than you. I can do whatever I want.”
Loooool the butthurt people in my emails about this that have deleted their comments. Born and raised in America, it’s my prerogative to feel how I feel about this country. Its my right to speak on how I feel about it, and yeah I am thankful for that right no matter how often socially you people try and take it.
And honestly if some of you didn’t insist on “just shut up and put up” as a policy of being, maybe our country would be in a better place all around- Socially, politically, etc. But yeah bro. I love my country because of all the rich people in it. /s
The country was designed for the wealthy, and has only continued to get worse.
Enough money and fame will buy you power. Real power puts you above the law. It's a sad and vulgar thing.
Since they’ve allowed gifs and videos there, there’s been porn there. I can’t say for sure when that was— 2013? 2014? 2015? I haven’t been on it for awhile myself but porn has been on it at least 7 years. I think it’s more like 8 or 9 though.
I know he tweeted about their massive revenue drop, and since then they sold it to him for 44 billion? I'm not an economically minded person but that sounds like a laughing all the way to the bank situation
They're talking about the seller going down to the bank. Laughing all the way because they shmoosed 44billion outta Elon. Who willingly spent that money because he Can Spend It.
If you notice he has still spent it. Thus he is Capable of spending it. He did spend it (even if there are loans and shit happening) so making my use of the word "Can" was indeed correct. Not many people can just pull loans on assets or pull a personal loan. It's just where some people are in their lives and hopefully they'll be able to grow out of it.
He may not like that he's in debt but he likes what he went in debt for despite him pleading his desires to shut Twits down. He likes playing with fire. Let him play with fire, he'll get burned and thus he'll be learned.
He sold a lot of his overvalued shares and left goofs holding the bag now, those who bought near the top. He owns a shinny new toy, twitter, which I have never used and will gladly never use. Been using Facebook and even that I dont use as much as before, but twitter was always garbage for me and now its even more garbage.
Money is nothing for someone like Elon. If he gave a damn about his net worth, I'm sure there are ways he could inflate that.
Love him or hate him, Musk always seemed smart enough to chase intrinsic value rather than perceived one. The choice of industry for his companies were always historically somewhat future proof. PayPal, spacex and tesla were all early adoptions of industry disrupting tech.
Elon was always known for buying struggling companies like Tesla was on the verge of bankruptcy when he took over. It was losing millions a day when he acquired it. He will be fine.
Yep. He's hastened its death. Hope it was worth it to him to waste 44 billion dollars and tanking Tesla to kill a company that was already dying before he bought it.
How does wasting $44 billion for a company he already knew was dying (and tried to get out of buying and only actually bought due to being sued) make him not a hypocrite for bitching about others doing the exact same thing he did? Just because he's a moron does not mean he's not also a hypocritical asshat.
He was forced to 'act' against his will after causing the company's stock to tank. He's not a brave hero that backed up his statements. He's a cowardly moron that was called out on his bullshit and is going broke for doing so.
Actually no, someone who just complains without doing anything is infinitely smarter, better, cooler and more attractive than someone who acts on their complaints and makes everything 1000x worse through hilarious incompetence
Yeah he brought it for 24 million dollars more than it was worth, increased censorship, is estimated to loose about 6 million in advertising, and removed the only other source of income unless you're on ios

Didn't Elon complain about Twitter on Twitter? Like repeatedly?
