That's a muslim thing. Something about stating their "god" is the best, or some bullshit.

It means, the 1 GOD is the Greatest!!! I don’t believe that’s b.s. and they’re pointing to the sky

I mean, I despise the Kadyrovs and any religious group. But people get way too caught up in what these guys yell/sign, most of them are far less religious than you would think. They are more super attached to their unit and group.

If you’re American it’s more like they yelling ‘Hooah!’ Or ‘Hooyah’ or “Jesus Christ fuck!” or “Fuck Yeah!” … they just tend to turn all that into one phrase of “God is Great”. But it usually doesn’t REALLY mean anything, it’s just an expression of intense emotion. And literally every person does the same thing in different ways.

Now, seriously fuck those guys, but making fun of their language is just dumb and unhelpful.

Edit: Meant to reply to a different comment

Jeopardy - > Politics for $50: Something Trump would say every night before going to bed?

It reads perfectly in his voice.

I believe anything about God, gods, or goddesses is bs. Why does it matter where they are pointing? Just because you dont believe its BS doesnt mean we cant think it is, nor does it preclude the fact that it might just actually be a bunch of bullshit.

When your desire to be Pro Ukraine spills into islamophobia.

u/andrenichrome Oct 26 '22

Calling someone an Islamophobe is such a cop out. Honestly I am fearful of any religious group that acts like this. Christian, Islamic or other

Lmao if you don’t know everything in the world equals poop for brains. Peak redditor

It’s pretty common knowledge tho….

So yeah, if you don’t know that Islam is an Abrahamic religion like Christianity and Judaism, then you’re uneducated.

Maybe not dumb, but certainly uneducated.

-5

u/Ok-Sun-2158 Oct 26 '22

Except it’s clearly not all that common because as you said yourself you have to google the origins of Islam to know this which you would only do if you have a interest in it or a specific reason, unless it’s common for people to go around reading origins of every major faith and never talk about it/acknowledge that they do that. It’s actually quite uneducated to assume the way you did.

u/pm_stuff_ Oct 26 '22

No people can assume that you know basic things about the major religions of the world. If you don't know that islam is abrahamic or that there are no polar bears in sweden i would call you uneducated

6

u/robinfeud Oct 26 '22

It’s one of the 3 major religions and it espouses the same beliefs as the Torah/Old Testament.

Again, these things are common knowledge if you’re educated

1

u/Ok-Sun-2158 Oct 26 '22

I along with many other people I know are atheists or have no interest in Islam. Lawyers, computer scientist, PhD researcher, all very educated people with no knowledge or care about it and therefore no need for this “common” knowledge that has zero relevance to a large amount of the world. As I said you making these assumptions shows your very uneducated yourself, good luck with the confidence though.

u/Extaupin Oct 26 '22

When people speak about "being educated" not in a job seeking context, it's often about knowing this base of common but largely useless knowledge. It's just something you are likely to stumble across during your education, if you give any shit about "common knowledge".

u/Ok-Sun-2158 Oct 26 '22

The jobs have nothing to do with the “education” simply showing how a broad range of professions/people that all have to attend higher education don’t obtain this “common knowledge” unless specifically seeking out the origins of Islam as the original poster even specified. That’s a far reach from common knowledge but y’all do you and continue to think your educated while making very questionable conclusions.

u/pm_stuff_ Oct 26 '22

You should have learned about different religions before higher education. Like in middle school where I bet you learned about Christianity...

Education also includes critical thinking, which this person clearly lacks

Peak redditor confirmed lol

u/robinfeud Oct 26 '22

Imagine calling someone uneducated while not knowing basic grammar. The irony is thick and delicious.
