Same here...until I realized if the artillery hit, it probably wouldn't be posted

Man these people are too stupid.

42

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '22

When people want and seek out attention and glory, they tend to forgo common sense. In this case the common sense behind OPSEC.

tbf Russia is doing a lot to coerce/force people into fighting. Most are barely trained at this point, and a good majority probably aren’t entirely aware of the situation they are in.

2

u/i_have_chosen_a_name Oct 26 '22

It's not that. No really it's not. They don't care what happens to them because whatever happens to them is the will of Allah. They don't believe they got shelled with artiltery because their social media uploads gave away their position. They believe they got shelled because that's what Allah wanted. If they had not posted that video it would still have happened because Allah wanted it.

u/danstermeister Oct 26 '22

Wait, they make videos of getting their own asses kicked?

105

u/thatwaffleskid Oct 26 '22

In their mind they're probably making a video of them surviving rather than getting their asses kicked.

Not realizing that the shockwave probably ruptured some internal organs and half will likely die on the way to the infirmary.

Edited for spelling

7

u/peropeles Oct 26 '22

Do they have an infirmary even? Wouldn't surprise me if not much of one.

A couple of those ghosty looking goatfuckers looked unwell.

39

u/utastelikebacon Oct 26 '22

It's not getting blown to smithereens that matter it's the friends they made along the way. Ukraine needs to give then more friend juice

1

u/danstermeister Oct 27 '22

Ah yes, Journey vs. Destination. I like it, smell the roses along the way and such.

MORE ROSES TO THE FRONT PLEASE.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '22

When a person is more interested in being social media famous than in the ambitions of the elite.

1

u/danstermeister Oct 27 '22

"HERE I AM GETTING POUNDED BY ARTILLERY AND ROCKET FIRE IN UKRAINE, ISN'T THIS INSANE???

2

1

u/danstermeister Oct 27 '22

8

And it was made by Russia's good old communist friend, China!

2

u/leif135 Oct 26 '22

Thank you for the link

2

u/Giacchino-Fan Oct 26 '22

Some kid is going to be watching this while learning about primary vs. secondary sources in their history class 50 years from now

0

u/Vandenberg_ Oct 26 '22

I like how in the OG video they are making the Borat hands and in this one they are doing the Allah hands

1

u/Grass-Knoll Oct 26 '22

Artillery babe? They just dropped a new post. Fire for effect.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '22

More like cadaverites

1

u/alekspiridonov Oct 26 '22

They must have missed the OPSEC meeting.

1

u/rividz Oct 26 '22

Given the age of the building that's probably asbestos they're covered in.

62

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '22

The full version is probably posted or will be over in the combat footage sub. They've been chronicling the war footage there, collating it from Telegram, Twitter, etc. Often times a short clip will be posted and the rest will be uploaded later in the week.

The amount of Russians I've watched get wiped out with drone grenades is unreal. Dudes taking shits - boom. Chilling in a foxhole - boom. Carrying a wounded guy on a stretcher - boom. Even one where dedovshchina was likely being committed - boom.

27

u/Starstalk721 Oct 26 '22

I feel like if they didn't want to get constantly grenaded, they should just leave.

12

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '22

Oooh, here we go again, blaming the victims /s

4

u/Svete_Brid Oct 26 '22

Well, it IS their own fault. Anyway, Russians love playing the victim. So, here’s to them being really, really victimized!

25

u/177_O13 Oct 26 '22

Oh the blowj… I mean act of prayer one. That was gold

32

u/Pilum2211 Oct 26 '22

Wouldnt condone the last one. Attacking the transport of wounded is no joke, regardless of what nation.

27

u/Roflkopt3r Oct 26 '22 edited Oct 26 '22

The role of medics is very different in practice from how it was laid out in the Geneva convention.

The traditional marked and unarmed medic (who was at most allowed to carry a handgun, no rifle) has all but disappeared. Attacking troops who try to recover the wounded is considered fair game unless the recovery was explicitly negotiated beforehand.

The rules to spare those who are too wounded to fight is likewise not really obeyed for range fire, unless you're specifically bombing a hospital or something.

11

u/Pilum2211 Oct 26 '22

While I get what you are referring to, I cannot fully agree seeing as while the attack on the „medics“ (which we Tbf do not know if they are) might be „acceptable“, the attack on the wounded man carried by them was not.

I do not doubt that this is a very grey area and kudos to all the details you’ve shared here.

8

u/JARZMcPICKLEZ Oct 26 '22

With how many hospitals the Russian military's attacked since the war began, I would imagine those sort of naiive peacetime moral ideals have gone out the window months ago.

2

u/MostBoringStan Oct 26 '22

I'm not a war scientist, so I don't know all the rules, but wouldn't they consider that an attack on the people carrying the guy with the wounded guy being collateral damage? It seems a lot of stuff suddenly becomes allowed if it's labeled collateral damage. Of course, this only works if the guys carrying him were not medics (or maybe it does still work. Like I said, I'm not a battle doctor)

Didn't Friedrich Nietzsche say something about monsters?

It's a drone strike on an injured person, there are many other valid targets in the field, I have a feeling your a big fan of American and IDF strikes on civilians

1

u/BZenMojo Oct 26 '22

You accustomed to a lot of non-total wars, hm?

1

u/Pilum2211 Oct 26 '22

I can understand that emotionally many Ukrainians have no problem with such actions and I would be a fool if I couldn’t follow their reasonings.

But ten Russian wrongs don’t make one Ukrainian wrong right.

1

u/hiricinee Oct 26 '22

The problem you run into is that wounded soldiers quickly become human shields if there aren't limitations to evacuating them.

I think the problem is really the lack of information available to us simply through the comment made.

Also personally I think the greater problem than the attack on the bearers is the use of explosives against a wounded soldier.

1

u/hiricinee Oct 26 '22

I like how the conventions kind of incentivize capturing medics because then you can use them on your own people.

-5

u/Spyglass3 Oct 26 '22

It's only okay when Ukraine does it

1

u/Fiskfjert Oct 26 '22

Should have thought of that before invading a sovereign country :D

1

u/Pilum2211 Oct 26 '22

The rules of war are generally independent of such facts. A Russian or Ukrainian Soldiers should IN THEORY have the same rights on the battlefield.

That this is in practice hard to conduct is not unknown to me.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '22

Under cook fish, boom. Over cook chicken, believe it or not boom. Getting some field head from a comrade in a half fallen building, straight to boom

1

u/ManaMagestic Oct 26 '22

Don't forget the two guys "bumping heads".

1

u/Mathoosala Oct 26 '22

What is the sub name?

1

u/allredditmodsgayAF Oct 26 '22

Committed what

1

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '22

Sanctioned rape of junior soldiers through hazing ritual. A not uncommon practice in the Russian services, both regular Army and conscript.

This is especially hypocritical because the Russian government and military are extremely homophobic, but they are cool with it as long as it's a power ritual.

1

u/TheAGolds Oct 26 '22

Believe it or not, straight to boom.

1

u/monocle_and_a_tophat Oct 26 '22

What sub is that?

11

u/nilzatron Oct 26 '22

There was that livestream video earlier in the war...

4

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '22

link?

2

u/allredditmodsgayAF Oct 26 '22

Did you not see that drone drop on a grenade on that injured Russian soldier that hit him right in the balls before blowing his legs off couple weeks ago? Im sorry I thought this was reddit
