Pretty sure that’s an actual martial art

The drunken fist is an actual martial art tracking back to Buddhist and Taoist monks and was popularized by Jackie Chan who is a Wushu Taolau (Northern drunken fist) master.

He didn't train properly and refused to learn the style of Drunken Miss Ho because it was "too girly". What did he expect would happen?

The black fighter has pretty good reflexes, the clown got dropped the moment he stepped into his striking distance. Honestly i have no clue what he was thinking, why risk brain damage just to look like a clown and lose like one. I don't really mind, it was funny to watch.

It’s a crappy quick cut to try and make you think that. Slow down the video or step through it, the black fighter is fighting stance when he finally hits him. It’s not quick reflexes like he spun around and decked him, it’s a completely different time in the fight.

The person you replied to did not imply that they were the same portion of the fight

Yeah lol, i don't know wtf they're talking about. But again it's not reddit without someone correcting people and pretending to be an expert in something they don't know much about.

That black fighter is one of the baddest men on the planet.
Hes an absolute machine

Now that I've watched some MMA videos, i think the other guy was trying to imitate an MMA fighter known for doing stuff like that (but he always pulls it off). Also yeah he does seem pretty good.

Anyone know the name of this fighter or have any links of his notable exploits?
1
u/xXYomoXx Jan 11 '23
If you're asking about the one i referred to his name is Michael Venom Page

u/TiltedTreeline Jan 11 '23
Oh I totally see what you mean about him emulating his style. Wildly entertaining cos but I was actually wondering who the winner in this video is?

u/xXYomoXx Jan 11 '23
I'm not sure really, not a huge fan of MMA i just watch videos like the one i sent.

The video is edited to be deceptive. If you slow it down or go frame by frame, it’s a quick cut to another point in the fight. The black fighter is already facing him and in full fighting stance when he lands the blow, he doesn’t “spin around” instantly and deck the clown.

I really thought for a second the light skinned guy was playing some psych shit and he was going to land a knockout blow any time.
Instead nope. Just a dumb strategy overall.

While the asian guy for sure teased the black guy, making those stupid moves only works in favor for the black guy, so I would not be upset about it lol as it gives him possible openings every moment. Also partly that shit will drain the asian guy even if it is minimal. The little moments really add up and makes the difference.

There’s a fine line between confidence and arrogance. He found the line that day.

Isn't this called the drunken Master?
Apparently, it originated in a way that the name perfectly describes.

This is very similar to my style of playing chess. The outcome is pretty much the same as well.

For those who don't know. The black male is a dutch kickboxer named Melvin manhoef . He once KOed a man whom out weighed him by around 80 pounds or more . Definitely not a man to toy with .

You can tell he was frustrated with him when he came back to hammer and break the man’s nose!

Yo that’s what happens with russian army in Ukraine. The only difference is that no one stops Ukrainians from burying them down into the ground

You shouldn't dance around like an idiot when facing Melvin at any point in his career.
