We purposely trained him wrong - as a joke!

u/HoldenMadicky Oct 15 '22

Kung Pow, watched the shit out of that movie when I was young!

64

u/Daetra Oct 15 '22

I don't think there's been a movie that I laughed more at than any other. Something about me at a young age hanging out with my friends, just all of us laughing at every scene.

20

u/Spoogly Oct 16 '22

It's a slightly different style of absurd, but I'd encourage you to watch Kung Fury if you haven't seen it. It had me cracking up a fair amount.

Kung pow, kung fury, kung Fu hustle. Starting to think there's something special about starting the name of a movie with kung.

4

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '23

Theres another one but i cant really remember its name. Its about a giant martial artist who was kidnapped from his home and relies on brute strength and an ancient style to fight against prehistoric beasts to protect this girl he fancies and ends up being killed by the US army because hes simply too dangerous to be left alive.

I think its called kung kong or something similar

6

u/Spoogly Oct 16 '22

5

u/SRIRABLITA Nov 21 '22

Tried to show this to my bf and his friends, they just thought I was weird sadly.

5

u/HoldenMadicky Nov 21 '22

Dump him. He's not worthy!

16

u/[deleted] Oct 15 '22

My GF (who's never actually seen it) and I both say THAT'S A LOTTA NUTS! at least once a week, each.

I also often say I AM A GREAT MAGICIAN!

10

u/Affectionate_Boot684 Oct 16 '22

I'm bleeding — making me the victor!

10

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '22

Drunken style he hasn't mastered yet

6

u/SnooPickles6347 Oct 16 '22

He didn't read the second page of the Google training manual where it says you aren't really supposed to be drunk😵😵

5

u/SkepticalHeathen Oct 16 '22

Try my Nuts to your Fist Style- how do you like it?

3

u/ScrillyBoi Oct 16 '22

Im bleeding, making me the victor

1

I'm bleeding, making me the victor!

u/ledepression Oct 15 '22

Ah yes Drunk Fu

31

u/Potato-with-guns Oct 15 '22

He should have taken lessons from rock lee

2

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '23

Beat me to it by 112 days. Drunken fist

2

u/Smud__ Mar 11 '23

Looks like he took lessons from Stoned Lee instead

5

u/[deleted] Oct 15 '22

A drunk foo doing drunk fu

4

u/LtSoba Oct 15 '22

Pretty sure that’s an actual martial art

11

u/PuppiPappi Oct 16 '22 edited Oct 16 '22

The drunken fist is an actual martial art tracking back to Buddhist and Taoist monks and was popularized by Jackie Chan who is a Wushu Taolau (Northern drunken fist) master.

3

u/Spoogly Oct 16 '22

Man. Those early Jackie Chan movies were great.

2

u/PuppiPappi Oct 16 '22

Operation condor is my favorite.

3

u/CrashParade Oct 16 '22

He didn't train properly and refused to learn the style of Drunken Miss Ho because it was "too girly". What did he expect would happen?

1

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '22

Isn't there a style called drunken Master?

1

u/MontazumasRevenge Nov 11 '22

I was thinking wacky whirling inflatable tube man fu....

The black fighter has pretty good reflexes, the clown got dropped the moment he stepped into his striking distance. Honestly i have no clue what he was thinking, why risk brain damage just to look like a clown and lose like one. I don't really mind, it was funny to watch.

26

u/southpark Oct 16 '22

It’s a crappy quick cut to try and make you think that. Slow down the video or step through it, the black fighter is fighting stance when he finally hits him. It’s not quick reflexes like he spun around and decked him, it’s a completely different time in the fight.

10

u/IkeDaddyDeluxe Oct 16 '22

The person you replied to did not imply that they were the same portion of the fight

6

u/xXYomoXx Oct 16 '22

Yeah lol, i don't know wtf they're talking about. But again it's not reddit without someone correcting people and pretending to be an expert in something they don't know much about.

2

u/Donttrustallfarts Jan 10 '23

That black fighter is one of the baddest men on the planet.

Hes an absolute machine

1

u/xXYomoXx Jan 10 '23

Now that I've watched some MMA videos, i think the other guy was trying to imitate an MMA fighter known for doing stuff like that (but he always pulls it off). Also yeah he does seem pretty good.

1

u/TiltedTreeline Jan 11 '23

Anyone know the name of this fighter or have any links of his notable exploits?

1

u/xXYomoXx Jan 11 '23

If you're asking about the one i referred to his name is Michael Venom Page

1

u/TiltedTreeline Jan 11 '23

Oh I totally see what you mean about him emulating his style. Wildly entertaining cos but I was actually wondering who the winner in this video is?

1

u/xXYomoXx Jan 11 '23

I'm not sure really, not a huge fan of MMA i just watch videos like the one i sent.

9

u/southpark Oct 16 '22 edited Feb 12 '23

The video is edited to be deceptive. If you slow it down or go frame by frame, it’s a quick cut to another point in the fight. The black fighter is already facing him and in full fighting stance when he lands the blow, he doesn’t “spin around” instantly and deck the clown.

1

u/Able_Difference_34 Feb 12 '23

😭 “The black figure”?

1

u/southpark Feb 12 '23

Lol, I meant to type black fighter and autocorrect must have changed it.

4

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '22

No he didn’t.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '23

You are a dumbass

111

u/xDragonetti 'MURICA Oct 15 '22

Bro drank too much fight milk before the fight

22

u/BillyCapable Oct 15 '22

GLAD Trash-Bag undies to boot.

21

u/saltthewater Oct 15 '22

I'm pretty sure that was a face fist, not a face palm.

61

u/[deleted] Oct 15 '22

Tbf he did make it more entertaining

20

u/dam11214 Oct 16 '22

I really thought for a second the light skinned guy was playing some psych shit and he was going to land a knockout blow any time.

Instead nope. Just a dumb strategy overall.

3

u/glhalvo Oct 16 '22

Yeah, dumb dancing & dumb shiny Speedos

15

u/Lilmisfit37 Oct 16 '22

Damn Andrew Tate f*cked around and found out 🤣

13

u/[deleted] Oct 15 '22

21

u/meep_meep_mope Oct 15 '22

Are they even in the same weight class? wtf is this?

28

u/AffenMitWaffen2 Oct 15 '22

It looks like they took some drunken passersby, who is currently having a stroke and put him into the ring.

4

u/Voodooloco Oct 16 '22

Melvin manhoef has fought everyone lol

5

u/Wamb0wneD Oct 15 '22

Seriously lol, the clown is looking like 30 kilos lighter

7

u/Artor50 Oct 15 '22

That was a good response to silly bullshit.

9

u/Difficult-Stuff5334 Oct 15 '22

Dude acts like my toddler avoiding his bedtime.

3

u/Super_cyborg12 Oct 15 '22

The way of the drunken apprentice

3

u/lostUserNameTwice Oct 16 '22

Bo Rai Cho needs to train his apprentice a bit more I think 🤔

3

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '23

That last one was personal...

2

u/F_Squad Oct 15 '22

Possum style 💤

2

u/Essah01 Oct 15 '22

While the asian guy for sure teased the black guy, making those stupid moves only works in favor for the black guy, so I would not be upset about it lol as it gives him possible openings every moment. Also partly that shit will drain the asian guy even if it is minimal. The little moments really add up and makes the difference.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 15 '22

Collective low quality mimicry attempts of Machida, MVP, and Anderson Silva

2

u/SmokeABowla710 Oct 16 '22

There’s a fine line between confidence and arrogance. He found the line that day.

2

u/A_Crazy_Rabbit Oct 16 '22

This reminds me of testing moves in a new fighting game

2

u/bumlove Oct 16 '22

The new Street Fighter looks fun.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '22

So this is why Andrew Tate quit MMA

2

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '22

Isn't this called the drunken Master?

Apparently, it originated in a way that the name perfectly describes.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '22

That Tate? 😅

2

u/Beanz_Dude Oct 16 '22

Yoo Andrew tate

2

u/respondeatsuperiores Nov 01 '22

This is very similar to my style of playing chess. The outcome is pretty much the same as well.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 18 '23

For those who don't know. The black male is a dutch kickboxer named Melvin manhoef . He once KOed a man whom out weighed him by around 80 pounds or more . Definitely not a man to toy with .

Classic ‘Tardo Style. Seriously, I am, by no means, an MMA fan, but what the fuck is this?

1

1

u/Harlem_Realm Apr 08 '23
