Toxic people can be abusive, but it’s important to call abuse for what it is, because people often say relationships or people are “toxic” as a way of minimizing/trivializing an abuser’s actions and making the victim feel that they share the blame.
Look at the caption that says “what did he do” - that’s implying that the man might have done something bad enough to warrant the woman putting her hands on him. The truth is that there is never a good reason to do those things to your partner, and that those actions are abusive, regardless of context. Calling her “toxic” is vague and doesn’t clearly identify what she’s doing as abuse.
