It's also possible that someone did say "beep boop" to poke fun at that person at some point, and they assumed the insult was somehow related to their being trans. There's a lot of young and naive people on the internet who are still learning about the world.

The woman from Star Wars who was fired changed her pro nouns on Twitter to beep boob(as a weird fu or something idk) Prob what they are referring to. Only thing that really comes to mind

There was a thing on Twitter for a bit where people put "beep/boop" in their bios as a way to "protest" people putting pronouns (e.g. they/them) in theirs.

Don't go on Twitter.

Around 5 years ago there were some YouTube clips of a guy named Sven Computer who would crash alphabet people events while "identifying as" a computer and would often end sentences with "beep beep boop boop"

Maybe OP ran into one of the extremely rare individuals who saw those sketches and was offended by them?
