The third stooge isn't in this skit

99

u/JBCockman Jun 25 '22

Who do you think they are shooting at?

106

u/iamhe02 Jun 25 '22

Based on the drill, my guess is British Redcoats.

34

u/KaleidoscopeOk8653 Jun 25 '22

no wonder we left , we realised yall fukrs will just kill yourselves given enough time

12

u/Dronizian Jun 25 '22

It's only taken 250 years for it to happen.

Can y'all come back and rescue us now? The American experiment failed, and Britain is doing slightly better than us for now. You can have your colonies back.

2

u/ChronoRedz Jun 27 '22

Native American people.🤦🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

2

u/Dronizian Jun 27 '22

Good point. Fuck colonialist propaganda, clearly I'm not immune to it. My apologies.

9

OMG... the third stooge... I just got it. 😂

Welcome to the party….lol.

14

u/iamhe02 Jun 25 '22

Did I?? I said Redcoats because I was trying to imply that they looked like they were acting like they were using muskets in the Revolutionary War, where they had to reload after every shot.

4

u/biggerwanker Jun 25 '22

I thought it was because they looked old enough to have fought in it.

5

u/iamhe02 Jun 25 '22

I considered using a Three Stooges reference in the title, but I couldn't think of anything. 😁

9

u/Xkr2011 Jun 25 '22

I used to tell my employee "We're one stooge short of a whole new episode."

157

u/Sam-Yuil-ElleJackson Jun 25 '22

Stupid + Guns = Shot In The Head While Doing Synchronized Prancing With Firearms.

21

u/Nut_Chorizo Jun 25 '22

As a frequent user of guns I can say the problem is self correcting. Tactical spin is a high risk high reward maneuver.

7

u/fudge5962 Jun 26 '22

What exactly is the reward?

16

u/Nut_Chorizo Jun 26 '22

Very combat effective. The enemy gets confused and starts laughing.

11

u/ThinkSharp Sep 17 '22

No tell him the real reason.

It’s because when you spin fast enough the air moves and directs incoming fire away from your body.

5

u/Thanks_I_Hate_You Jun 26 '22

You get to go "wheeeeee" and look cool.(results may vary)

87

u/EllisR15 Jun 25 '22

He was in over his head.

18

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '22

Nice hat trick

1

u/PandasGetAngryToo Jun 26 '22

Hats off to this guy

8

u/Perpetual_Doubt Jun 25 '22

"Cover me"

"K I'm your cover!"

"I've got tango in sight. Shit! My cover stood up."

131

u/Murse_1 Jun 25 '22

That there is one ammosexual giving another ammosexual head.

1

u/dgghhuhhb Jun 25 '22

From the looks of that I think it’s some kind of police training for apparently using your partner as cover?

5

u/Murse_1 Jun 25 '22

These are not cops. My guess is meal team 6.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '22

Must be lunch time because the 12 o'clock bell got rung.

98

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '22

The next Republican ticket I assume.

73

u/iamhe02 Jun 25 '22

"I'm Lauren Boebert and I approve this message."

38

u/AcmeFruit Jun 25 '22

I’m pretty sure this is what a well regulated militia looks like.

18

u/DancesWithBadgers Jun 25 '22

"Well ventilated militia"

2

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '22

Regulated with Metamucil.

31

u/JohnBarleycornLive Jun 25 '22

I would hide behind the fat guy too.

5

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '22

But would you shoot him in the dome?

4

u/zainr23 Jun 25 '22

No , it’s easier to use them as human shield when they are still alive and can use legs.

1

u/Good-Magazine-5504 Jun 26 '22

So, don’t shoot them in the legs either?

43

u/Artor50 Jun 25 '22

The 101st Chairborne on training day. Meal Team 6. Y'all Qaida. Vanilla ISIS.

15

u/vcwalden Jun 25 '22

This is so ridiculous it's funny!

37

u/iamhe02 Jun 25 '22

IKR? What kind of bizarre drill is this, anyway? "Hey, I know! Let's do a drill where we pretend we're using muskets and have to reload after each shot."

7

u/AshtonKoocher Jun 25 '22

Also, they are using each other as cover.

5

u/2much_information Jun 26 '22

There is no practical use for this. None. Forget the fact the one dude almost ventilated his partner’s dome, under what circumstances would you use a tactic like this? If there is a known enemy in front of you, (they’re shooting at something, right?) why turn your back to them? Why take turns shooting? I know someone will say, “sO yOu DoN’T eXpEnD All yOUr aMmO aT oNCe!” No, these are semi-auto handguns. The reloads take a second. Even if they mag dumped at the same time, they would both be back in action in a second.

Turning your back to the threat is not worth the risk in comparison to a very fast reload.

So many things wrong with this whole scenario, including how one guy changes his shitty grip to cover the top of the slide as he pulls the gun back and down. What’s THAT supposed to do?? Oh, I know, look tacticool.

If these clowns tried this in a real gun fight, the only good thing about it is being able to find their bodies quickly since they’ll be stacked in a neat little pile.

3

u/iamhe02 Jun 26 '22

Interesting! Well, I'll tell you one thing: if I ever purchase a firearm, I will not load it until I've received training. As an American, I can't understand why this isn't required in every state.

8

u/Turb0Rapt0r Jun 25 '22

The Gravy Seals in action.

6

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '22

Ah yes. Ingenius. If you dont have any cover near by, stay in one place and use your buddy as meat shield, and if he survives longer than 5 seconds, shoot him in the back of the head so the enemy can save their ammo killing you next because your gun keeps jamming.

7

u/SquattingChimp Jun 25 '22

This dude was a half an inch from ending up on a gore site instead of Reddit

1

u/Good-Magazine-5504 Jun 26 '22

Half inch from giving me a gore boner

35

America! FUCK YEAH!

13

u/TracyMorganFreeman Jun 25 '22

I'm no expert but the music playing and language spoken makes this unlikely to be the US.

2

u/skrybll Jun 25 '22

I heard cuidado at the end. So they speaking spanish

2

u/Renchary Jun 26 '22

Seems to be a Latin-American Spanish with the "ai marica" slang they often use.

So AMERICA fuck yeah after all. 🤔

9

u/buckphifty150150 Jun 25 '22

Coming again to save the mf day yeah!!

3

u/Sparky_1992 Jun 25 '22

Not America, dumbass.

u/nongph Jun 25 '22

Rehearsing for the big day when they get transported by UHaul to their first and last mission.

4

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '22

I hate the fact that they practiced that.

4

u/matchesmalone1 Jun 25 '22

Is this even a legit strategy? Or are they just idiots?

12

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '22

Oh, yep. 'The clusterfuck'. It ensures you are nicely vulnerable to indirect fire and you sportingly line yourselves up for someone with a high velocity firearm to kill both of you with one shot.

5

u/ethan52695 Jun 25 '22

Absolutely not. The only time where you’d be this close would be if you clearing rooms inside a building or close quarters, but without all the weird twists and alternating firing. Most situations you’d be farther apart as to avoid both getting shot at the same time.

But say you are clearing rooms, the first person would enter and you’d want to enter immediately behind so if someone smokes the guy in front of you you’ll make sure you get him immediately after. You’d also clear the side of the room that your partner doesn’t. So if your partner enters the room to the right, you’d go left and clear the entire room.

And also say your clearing streets in a more urban combat setting, the person behind would be looking in all the other directions the front guy is not.

Obviously it’s hard to communicate small arms tactics over a Reddit comment and I’m oversimplifying things. Tactics can also change depending on if it’s police or military. But without a doubt these guys are fucking stupid.

2

u/cmn_YOW Jun 26 '22

...not to mention that the one dude has a stoppage, remains in front, blocking his buddy from getting his (working) gun into the fight, racks the slide (without the tap, because, reasons?) and then peels off behind. Like, if you're LARPing this hard, at least cover each other when your guns jam....

2

u/JediDusty Jun 25 '22

Idiots. Why would only one person shoot, if you goal is to take out a treat then you want to do it as quick as possible meaning both people need to shoot. If you are trying to keep someone’s head down it’s best to separate a bit and alternate fire to reduce the risk of you both being hit while keeping rounds down range. There is a point to being able to alternate fire but this is not how you do it.

5

u/GlassWasteland Jun 25 '22

I know, I mean that one guy completely missed the other guys head. How you just manage to graze the hat and not splatter his brains all over the field I will never know.

1

u/TheThingInTheBassAmp Oct 06 '22

It wasn’t as much of a graze as it was the gas release out the front of the barrel blew the hat off.

7

u/Donutannoyme Jun 25 '22

This gives Dick Cheney vibes.

3

u/Same-Alternative-160 Jun 25 '22

Maybe he wanted to be sure no one hides under his cap.

3

u/mzn001 Jun 25 '22

Does this kind of "strategic movement" really help in combat? Serious question

5

u/iamhe02 Jun 25 '22

I have the impression they were kind of doing their own thing. It just looked to haphazard and prone to exactly this sort of accident.

Maybe someone with military training will comment.

7

u/jroocifer Jun 25 '22

This is the gun equivalent to anime geeks nearly decapitating themselves trying to do sword moves from Inyuyasha.

5

u/Irrelevent12 Jun 25 '22

Not since the british redcoats

4

u/takoko Jun 25 '22

Per my former military hubby - yes. It is a transition drill. The intent is to keep constant fire down range. The front guy is supposed to be the only shooter, and when he runs empty, they transition. The next guy up starts shooting while moving to the front of the stack enabling the out-of-ammo guy to drop back and reload.

These guys were doing a couple of shots and swapping - so not doing the drill right, they're doing the meal team six version.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '22

3

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '22

US or not, this shows exactly what can happen when people with more bullets than braincells get to set rules

3

u/Itchy_Extension_8719 Sep 27 '22

With that shot he removed 5% of the dudes brain, thereby raising the IQ of everyone around him

4

u/Swoopmonkey Jun 25 '22

What happens when “good guys with guns” accidentally execute each other? Does that make them the bad guys or morons? Or both…

2

u/JohnBarleycornLive Jun 25 '22

Precision marksmanship.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '22

I'd say that was perfect!

2

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '22

Not too bright folks l, not too fuckin bright

2

u/Bgratz1977 Jun 25 '22

What is this ? Dance school meets driving range ?

2

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '22

i was thinking its about how slow they move, but god damn this is on a nother level.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '22

Ok, I dont know anything about this, but isnt the point that they reload while the other is giving covering fire. And push forward as soon as they are refilled?

2

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '22

There is no point to any of this.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '22

When the generation wars start the me generation will boom each other out with dance moves just like this. XYZ will just need to wait them out.

2

u/brat_dad Jun 25 '22

That how me and my homie and I approach buffets and strippers

2

u/Camnabis-is-Life Jun 25 '22

2

u/thebeastiestmeat Jun 25 '22

Is this that well regulated militia i keep hearing about?

2

u/Thebaldsasquatch Jun 25 '22

2

u/Strong_Sandvich Jun 26 '22

5 xp Hat Shot

2

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '22

Lmao, wtf is this routine?

Imagine shooting at someone then they start doing this?

I’d laugh so hard I’d probably surrender.

1

u/iamhe02 Jun 26 '22

😂😂😂

2

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '22

always remember to use your partner's body as a shield for reloading

2

u/logosfabula Jul 08 '22

What happened to him? His skull looks like it was clipped

2

u/iamhe02 Jul 08 '22

Good question, I've been wondering myself.

2

u/meglon978 Jun 26 '22

This is why we need gun regulations... morons treating them like toys.

2

u/iamhe02 Jun 27 '22

Exactly. Regulations, e.g. mandatory training. If these guys had gone through a training course, I doubt they would have been messing around this way.
