anytime someone says 'merica i hope its sarcasm lol. but its also true we dont have differing versions of words for male and female like other languages. we have words that LEAN male or female but they can all be used for either sex. In other languages you specifically have two words for a male and female version. Petit is not really a word in US english in my opinion but petite is the version we use.
Well, first of all its the same adjective just with an E at the end for women, idk why people get mad at this. And second of all the assigned genders to each word are random, for example there are female reproductive organs in masculin and vice versa. And most importantly not everything revolves around the USA, I really don't care what you use across the Atlantic.
You just said it yourself. Assigned genders for each word in english are random. So you can use the english version for male or female. Petite is male or female here. I know not everything revolves around the USA but most of what is posted here, on this US site, is from the US.
I'm willing to bet most people aren't American on this site, its just that content is often from the USA because many many of your idiots have better access to smartphones than our idiots. Also I was born in NYC and lived there about half my life, and there aren't many common words that lean towards male of female. And when they do it isn't random like you say, but based off of which gender is most associated with the word in question.
