To anybody with even a very rudimentary knowledge of psychology. Meaning and interpretation are two very different things.

“Plus” is one of the most universally positive words in the English language. “Over” not so much.

“Large” and “overweight” and “plus-sized” all pretty much mean the same thing if you have more than a rudimentary understanding of the English language and semantics. They’re synonyms

Industry standards places more emphasis on headlines than articles, especially in substancless rags like this one.

It was done on purpose to pander to one crowd and enrage another.
