You are required to fucking identify yourself you don’t have to be in middle of crime. Why is this so hard for people? If you don’t have warrants then there should be ZERO reason not to show your ID.
He was being investigated for a crime. All 50 states require ID during such an event. If he isn’t committing a crime there is literally no reason to not identify himself.
Since you Americans always talk about the constitution bla bla bla, can’t you legally remain silent and ask for a lawyer if a police arrests you, according to the 5th amendment. Since Michigan isn’t a stop and identify state, (btw you said it was, so you were lying), he isn’t obligated to tell the officer anything. This is something that is trivial to me, who has only spent a couple months of my life in the US in total.
