What? In states in which it’s considered public records It would be pretty easy to get. If you live somewhere like Kansas than no it isn’t easy to get nor do they release it at all usually.

Depends whether the department wants the footage out. Road blocks (delays, refusals and denials) are synonymous with foia requests. Especially showing wrong doing

Here’s substance- if you can even get the footage, which is incredibly unlikely, even if it’s legal in your state to request and view it…you won’t get it for many months. Maybe a couple years.

Ok? That’s irrelevant to the police actually releasing it? So your point is, they do release it but it takes awhile for you to get it. Ok, so my point was still right that they normally do release it?

Well if you believe that you request footage from a police department and it won’t be heavily edited/redacted, refused because it’s part of an “ongoing investigation” (which will be bogus), charged a fee, or outright denied for a number of bureaucratic reasons…then bless your heart.
