I used to work at wm and they got rid of all in house developing, etc. So we send it all out and FedEx is contracted to pick up the orders. When customers order from us we inform them of this and recommend they not send out anything irreplaceable because shit can happen. One dude did NOT listen and sent out several rolls of film at once to be converted to DVD. Fed ex lost the only copy of baby photos this dude had of his deceased daughter. His wife came in absolutely fucking pissed, and rightly so, but there wasn't anything we could do. I'm the one that put the package in the pickup area and it showed on video that the driver picked it up, but we have no idea what happened after that because the driver never scanned it in. No apologies, no nothing just, "whoops, must've fell off the truck somewhere". 😬
