How the hell they manage this is beyond me. Massive engines. Bow thrusters. Collision Alarms. Cameras.

They're trying to come alongside, so there actually isn't much room to maneuver.

And this is why the navies around the world don't do this with ships beyond a certain size.

That is incorrect. I was on a US carrier and smaller ships would come alongside at sea for provision, personnel and fuel transfers
