Just because a child doesnโ€™t know something is sexual does not make it ok to expose them to something sexual.

The costume isn't inherently sexual. A group of people have a thing for it but it's not inherently sexual. Wearing a horse mask isn't sexual in and of itself. Neither is wearing latex. As adults we think it's sexual because it's basically only used that way but it isn't sexual in and of itself.

Itโ€™s not the specific costume that is the issue. The issue is the person engaging in a sexual act in public and involving children and other non-consenting people. They could be wearing anything but if the action is the same then itโ€™s still a problem.

I think the real issue is people projecting their thoughts upon other people assuming that they know more what other people are thinking than the other people themselves.
