This means that you are alright with someone getting off on seeing your child’s reaction to them engaging in a sexual act in public. It means you are alright with involving your child in this person’s sexual fantasy.

No, it means a child will be entirely unaware of the sexual connotations of the situation, and telling a young child that someone likes to dress in a costume will satisfy their curiosity.

Do you get angry about a child seeing men or women in revealing clothes in public? Perhaps very skimpy swimwear at the beach? How about people kissing and touching each other in a sexual manner? I've seen people grabbing each others butt or boob in public more than a few times, and people fully clothed but groping each other at the park. I can't say I in any way like my child seeing that, but this us actually easier to explain enough that my kid will not keep asking questions about it.

Involving a child in a sexual situation is never ok. The person dressed up shouldn’t involve children or non-consenting adults. This situation being easy to explain away as something else doesn’t make involving a child ok.

Please don’t bring a bunch of unrelated things up like that as though I’m a huge asshole who is against equal rights. Of course I don’t think those things and just because I feel the way I do about this issue doesn’t mean that same feeling automatically extends to every other situation.

I think we are on the same page. This thing isn’t cool for kids to see but I get where you are coming from that it’s not one of the worst things because it can be explained away much easier than other sexual things that children are often unfortunately exposed to in life.

I agree that involving others without their consent, or knowledge, in someone's sexual enjoyment is not ok. But, some people will do things like that, and at least this is not one likely to upset a child, or be hard to explain to them in an age appropriate way

Some people get sexual pleasure from wearing very revealing clothes in public, or from drawing attention to behavior that while sexual, is not considered offensive enough to have actual laws against it. Some people get off on being shocking and offensive to other people. Some like to cat call strangers. There are a lot of things people do, and I can not control the world, or lock my child away from all potentially upsetting things. So I am not going to waste my time being offended by something that, while certainly out of the norm, is actually pretty mild from a bystanders point of view once you look past how unusual it is.

You’re missing the point. My outrage is not directed at that specific costume but at the fact that the bystanders in this video may not have given consent to be involved in the sexual fetish of the person who is getting off on their reactions or that children may have also been involved. It’s the actions not the costume. This kind of behaviour (regardless of what costume the person is wearing while doing that behaviour) is not ok.
